And the WH doesn’t understand why the people have no trust in what their government says. Trust but verify. The WH would be well served if they would do what they promised and what was legislated rather than make some more empty promises. Let’s have some confidence building measures first. Oh, and by the way, this is an urgent matter of national security, especially after 9/11.
We are going to get little if any support for unsecured borders and the illegal immigration invasion from the the Feds, IMHO.
If we get any help at all it will be locally., Locals that create zoning regs that get rid of 50 illegals per home or local laws that can and will fine employers who employ them etc etc.

I watched Reliable Sources....they did have a segment about the coulter/edwards bru-ha-ha that matthews set up. Finally at the END of that segment, Howie showed the full quote, and EVERYONE on the panel (2 libs, one conservative) agreed that the media completely mis-reported what Anne said. BUT, there was NO discussion about the lieing, cheating and completely unethical manner in which the spitter set up the whole event, which then carried over to nbc, cnn, and abc (I think).
What NBC/MSNBC did was very unethical and showed their complete lack of journalistic standards and that they are purely a propaganda machine.
I was disappointed that Howie didn’t discuss this at great length, because it goes to the real problem of today’s “news” organization — complete lack of standards for honest reportage.
I agree the problem has spread. But if you shit off the hydrant...the stream will eventually dry up.
And in the meantime we start rounding up and deporting the illegals BACK to the side of the fence on which they belong.
Juan says that most people wanted the illegals to be made legal because we are a nation of laws.
I take it I need comment no further on that.

Priorities........
We could have added anywhere from 30 to 50 million new LEGAL immigrants who would be united in the US with their family. And on top of that, there would also be the stampede of illegals to get into this country to get amnesty this time around using fraudulent documents during the 2 and 1/2 year window they would have the opportunity to apply for a Z visa, a window that probably would have to be extended given the inability of the bureaucracy to handle such numbers.
I loved watching Brit shake his head. And of course, he came back with what he heard - no race, but ILLEGAL.
Isn't it just wonderful when everybodys on the same page?!

Lieberman was terrific; he is the ONLY sane voice left in the democrat party.....WAIT! He left the democrats, which makes him even more sane. He really gets it wrt terrorism
First you have to shut off the hydrant. You can do that by enforcing the existing laws on the books, including securing the border under existing legislation. When you have the leading Dem candidates voting for the Secure Fence Act, what’s the problem in not implementing it? And Clinton signed the US Visit Act in 1996, which has yet to be fully implemented.
I had to go back and look. I ‘read’ it as you meant it. That is the hard part of editing - you see what you expect to see.

a few years ago, islam-exposer craig winn was on his show to debate an islamist and craig pre-warned mike about all the tactics the islamist would use so that mike wouldn’t premit those tactics to be employed.. and mike allowed it anyway... lost all respect for that wimp.
This is like people that want enact more gun laws instead of merely enforcing the ones already on the books.
We HAVE enough laws in place to make a secure border a reality...we just have to have people with a backbone to put them into action.
