700 miles by 2008... the bill was passed in 2006 and we got 17 miles. At this speed... the fence should be completed in 2089.
And the WH doesn’t understand why the people have no trust in what their government says. Trust but verify. The WH would be well served if they would do what they promised and what was legislated rather than make some more empty promises. Let’s have some confidence building measures first. Oh, and by the way, this is an urgent matter of national security, especially after 9/11.
The bill was passed 8 months ago. For the Fed govt that is warp speed that ANYTHING has been built.
