Here is a video showcasing the capability of the US Air Forces first F-22A flight demonstration routine, now wowing audiences at North American air shows and challenging perceptions of the Raptor.
This fighter best known for stealth, speed and sensors, has been designed to evade radar, supercruise above Mach 1.5 and fly at 65,000ft.
With its two Pratt & Whitney F119 engines vectoring their 35,000lb of afterburning thrust through +/-20º as an integral part of the flight-control system, the F-22 proves itself to be surprisingly agile, performing helicopter turns, tailsides and backflips.

WOW!!! This thing could take on a Colonial Viper and win!!!
You all ever notice how Russian aircraft doing similar manuevers look so sloppy by comparison. The Raptor seems far more stable to me.
I am with you Snoopers. If only we could untie the hands of our forces to fight to win. And this video video is jaw droppingly stunning.

Magnificent!

I lived in Williamsburg, Va for a while and was headed south until I came to a roadblock...”Testing at Langley Today”. Those little jets were all over the place. I just sat and watched the whole show. “Magnificent”.
Very cool, but cmon, is an air superiority fighter ever going to do vertical cimb/hovers or backflips like this in combat? I rather see video of the Raptor pulling tight turns at speed, yanking and banking.
In real combat the Raptor will be firing AMRAAMs from 30 miles away, and the enemy never sees it coming.
Sweet mother that is CRAZY!!! Just imagine if another jet was on your tail. Pull up, stall, back flip, go to guns and nail the sucker.
That is one crazy plane. I bet it as a pilot it makes your head swim...

“Hey boss, stop blocking these patriotic videos. What are you, some kind of Commie?”;))
So bookmarked for later.

The F-15 and F-16 pilots who have flown against the F-22 are unanimous: it’s just not fair. This is a great airframe.

It’s awesome we have this type of air power... but where will we use these jets? I’m impressed by their capabilities... I just have my doubts they’ll ever be used to their fullest potential. Any thoughts out there?
