Big, big secret to speed loading the revolver.
Don’t catch the casings.
Hardest thing to teach yourself. Throw the boom, push the plunger, let em drop.
You have no idea how many people reflexively catch those stupid things.
If you train properly, you can be ejecting your shells while lining up your new clip.
Complicated, sure.
But then I never have to deal with a stove pipe or a no-load either.

so I guess you could leave someone elses shell casings around at the scene of a crime and let them take the blame

Many drive-by shooters are using illegally imported automatic weapons (those that arent stolen-and-illegally-converted. And, on top of that, theyve taken to firing from inside the car, so the brass doesnt leave the vehicle. Please post some articles where AUTOMATIC weapons were used.

....wtf?
People actually try to catch the casings???? I’ve never seen anyone try to do that, not even at the range.
As for me, give me an automatic with a big magazine. I’ve seen revolvers FTE on the range, too - and the clearance drill for a jammed auto is a lot faster than trying to get a stuck casing out of the cylinder on a revolver.
Of course, the best option (IMHO) is the “New York Reload”.

As a former LA resident who witnessed several such incidents, they were using illegal full-auto weapons.
It’s impossible to post articles on such because to the LA Times, *all* weapons are full-auto assault weapons.

As to the combat situation.
I was taught that your side arm was not an offensive weapon that you took on an army with.
But then again, I wasn’t in the situation that the boys are in in Iraq and Afgan. Different kind of war I guess.
If I was even 10 years younger, I know where I’d be today, and it ain’t here.

Riots happen in American cities, too - and then you have similar problems.

Oh yea, I have to look it up, old hat now. The FBI listed real situations where cops got shot and killed and were found with a hand full of casings.
I know that every once in a while you will see some one do just that. Its something you have to train yourself out of.
True stuff! Hard to believe, but true.

Someone explain to me whats wrong with this legislationThis bill has nothing at all to do with crime reduction. Only the truly ignorant will expect that this crime reducing measure will in any way achieve that. It has everything to do with making gun ownership more expensive and more difficult for responsible, law abiding gun owners and the real bonus is that it gives so called 'law enforcement' another excuse to confiscate guns and make criminals out of citizens thereby preventing them from owning guns legally again. All part of the master plan to disarm all citizens being carried out by those that know exactly what they are doing and their ignorant tools that think they are actually accomplishing something good.

Of course, I can see it - the police range master telling them to catch their brass so it’s not on the ground on the range...
Goes to show that you fight like you train.

California leads the way...in illegals, AIDS, tree huggers, and mobocracy (aka rule by referendum).
The real leader in idiotic gun laws is New York, which has been in violation of basic civil rights via the Sullivan Laws since 1921.

It was back when the whole Dirty Harry thing with the .357 and .44mag craze. Right before everyone went to semis.
The speed loader itself was a problem. You had to train yourself to drop the stupid thing after twisting the release. And that’s hard to do when you have to pay for them.
Being proficient with a revolver is an artform. Anyone can hang with a semi.
Ooopps did it again, standing by fora new blast of flame.

Yes no doubt to remove the chamber engraving will be legally the same as filing off the s/n.

What do you do in combat when theres more than three (if you have to double tap) or more than six (if youre a pistol god who sleeps with Lady Luck to be able to put a man down with one shot every time)? Carry two revolovers and speed loaders.
