Iran has officially crossed the red line in its nuclear weapons development. That is the conclusion a team of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors reached after a surprise inspection of Irans uranium enrichment plant at Natanz this past Sunday...The Israelis have warned for years that once Iran crossed the red line of mastering enrichment technology, they would take military action. They have never said when, or how. But they have assumed, rightly, that any Iranian nuclear weapon would have ISRAEL written all over it, and are determined to prevent it from being built.

Talk talk talk talk talk talk talk...
I’m so sick of talk.
Or at least they are acting like they do.
Sounds like it’s time to move the “red line” back a few more feet.
Israel is the only nation that has the serious motivation to derail Iran’s nuclear program. The UN is worthless, the Europeans still think diplomacy and appeasement will work and George Bush has been emasculated by the Democrat Congress. Only the Israelis have the will to act and for the sake of the world lets hope they have the means to do it successfully soon.
I would agree if Ohmert weren’t the Prime Minister .... but with him, I’m not sure Israel will act.
I hope it's not Tel Aviv to get blown off the map first. There are a lot of good people there.
Just so. The thought of Olmert and Peretz and their friends running a war against Iran is laughable.
Syria is gearing up for an attack too.
And the Israeli people are sitting there twiddling their thumbs. At this point it needs some divine intervention.
Words! Words! Words! I'm so sick of words! I get words all day through; First from him, now from you! Is that all you blighters can do? Don't talk of stars burning above; If you're in love, show me! Tell me no dreams filled with desire. If you're on fire, show me! Here we are together in the middle of the night! Don't talk of spring! Just hold me tight! Anyone who's ever been in love'll tell you that This is no time for a chat! Haven't your lips longed for my touch? Don't say how much, show me! Show me! Don't talk of love lasting through time. Make me no undying vow. Show me now! Sing me no song! Read me no rhyme! Don't waste my time, show me! Don't talk of June, don't talk of fall! Don't talk at all! Show me! Never do I ever want to hear another word. There isn't one I haven't heard. Here we are together in what ought to be a dream; Say one more word and I'll scream! Haven't your arms hungered for mine? Please don't explain, show me! Show me! Don't wait until wrinkles and lines Pop out all over my brow, Show me now! |
Obviously not Democrats.
‘Apparently not the thin red line. I dont think anyone is going to attack Iran. Many of their facilities are 70 feet underground, and moving around concrete will not do the job.’
Actually, given the centrifuges used, a well placed piece of very heavy ordinance could in fact seriously disrupt the program. You require thousands of these things spinning at very high rpms, so high that ‘negotiating’ several speeds is a tedious, dangerous process all by itself. A ‘good shake’ from a weapon dropped perfectly, or even a act of nature like a earthquake could wipe them all out just because of the physics involved, from what I’ve read.
Is there a mailing address I can send a contribution to to support the Israeli military?
They apparently have more testacles than Jorge El Segundo.

Thanks a bunch El-Bardari.
Wonder how much of a pay raise he gets for watching this happen??
‘I thought Iran had spread around their facilities all over the country. I know we have bunker busters, but given how many of Saddams bunkers survived, I wonder how many days of bombing would it take.
I suppose the USA could get the job done, if persistent. However, Israel using conventional weapons probably doesnt have the ability to destroy all the nuke facilities.’
They have ‘spread around their facilities’. But you can’t hide 25,000 centerfuges running at top speed, and you can’t just house them ‘anywhere’ its quite a production just building the facility - within a facility - to do this stuff. They are large, fragile (built from fiber carbon from what I understand to better withstand the strains of the speeds involved) and LOUD, with plenty of vibration. I suspect the heat alone gives away the location(s).
A ‘shift’ of minor nature is enough to cause them to become unbalanced, and at those speeds they run at, you can’t just ‘shut them off’ because they are fiber carbon and will more or less collapse upon themselves, releasing a gas thats 100% fatal to humans.
This is the extend to which I understand the process...I’m sure there are others that can amplify or correct any misconceptions I might inadvertently be presenting here.
Resulting from the West’a talking and delaying we are going to wake up one morning to an Iranian ‘nuclear’ version of 9-11.
