Rudy would be “acceptable” (with nose held) running against Hillary, Obama or the Shyster Edwards.

Hope it doesn’t come down to that choice.

Rudy would bring in the independents, the moderates, and the disaffected democrats.

That is the only way the reps are going to win a very tough election in 2008.

Maybe so.

But his record of complete contempt for the Constitution makes him unacceptable in the extreme.

This is a bit misleading, at least with regard to Tancredo, who simply suggested that voters may well decide to go with a pro-abort if forced to by the alternative.

Rudy Giuliani is spent. He was never worth the energy and money wasted on his campaign. He is the Dems choice for the Republican Party.

Republican Party Leadership is genuinely lacking, and has been for awhile. Conservatives need to shake them up a bit.

NO RUDY.

I’m pro-choice. I’m pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. “No, I have not supported that, and I don’t see my position on that changing,” he responded. Source: CNN.com, “Inside Politics” Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htm

ANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)

RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.

KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.

GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.

KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.

JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.

KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.

GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.

Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY

Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

Rudy Giuliani thinks murdering an unborn child isn’t as serious as murdering a child that has already been born.

Rudy Giuliani thinks that it’s ok to play fast and loose with the Constitution, stop and frisk American citizens for no reason, and when the NYPD did exactly that during Giuliani’s years as mayor, 3 out of 4 people subject to such unconstitutional searches were found to be absolutely innocent.

Rudy Giuliani thinks it is more important to ignore immigration laws, and his lax enforcement of those laws while Mayor of NYC allowed some of the 9/11 hijackers to live right in Brooklyn and prepare for their attacks without fear of being arrested for being in the U.S. illegally.

Those are just three prime reasons why Rudy Giuliani should never serve as President of the United States.

And there are MANY more.

This is VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Will no one on the Republican stage stand up and just tell Rudy he's wrong, and talk about it as right and wrong?

Very disappointing.

They would be wrong, wouldn’t they? No way, no how is a pro-abortion candidate ever acceptable.

Tancredo knows he has no chance of getting the nomination, so he’s running for VP.

This would make a tiny amount of sense if Giuliani’s position was actually “pro-choice”. However, his record as Mayor and his statements have demonstrated that he is as pro-abortion as the most liberal Democrat in the race. Boehner, Tancredo, and Brownback are either wrong or horribly misquoted.

I already knew that Boehner was a boner, and that Brownback had already demonstrated his idiocy on this and several other things, but seeing Tancredo say something this stupid is disappointing.

If Rudy Giuliani is acceptable, the GOP is useless and finished.
