Tunes For The Troops
This week we have some progresive music from the late 60's thru the 80's. Next week we'll move along to the 90's & 2000's along with some progressive metal music.
Progressive rock, sometimes shortened to prog or prog rock, is a subgenre of rock music which arose in the mid-to-late 1960s, reached the peak of its popularity in the 1970s and has continued as a form of popular music to this day. It is commonly associated with symphonic rock and art rock.
The selections below are just a sampling. This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!
Enjoy the varity of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays have provided throughout the thread. Please ping LaurenMarlowe with your requests for the Troops.
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!
*Canteen Mission Statement*
Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before. |

Rain all day for the Oaks today. Rain in store for the Derby on Saturday.
Hope it doesn’t get wicked.

Do horse races get cancelled because of rain/mud? Does the race go on regardless? I don’t want any of them to get hurt.
And looking at the clock.......can’t sleep?

Oh, my goodness.
Camel. Loved that group when I was a teenager who hated the status quo.
I can see your house from here.
Along with
The Pousette-Dart Band (Who was the opening act for Yes: Relayer Tour...one of the best live acts I ever saw, second only to DeGarmo & Key).
What can I say?
What can I do?
This heart is dying
For love that rings true
Spend all my nights
Looking for you
Seems such a waste
Feeling this blue....
You have triggered a lot of memories.

I saw the fox last night briefly..The raccoons always come..Tonight they are late...or they came early while I wasn’t watching..
I put extra food out late. The doves and squirrels will finish it in the morning.
