You are right. They should make the point that like President Bush and all candidates on the right, they face a hostile press all the time, and are not afraid because it gives them the opportunity to explain their views and ideas. Meanwhile the wussies on the other side of the aisle are scared of taking a hardball question. It is nothing short of pathetic.

I predict a sh1tstorm on this thread. With that in mind, I think I'll forgo the debate, since I can't stand Spitboy anyway, plus this thread is gonna be better than WWF!

Why is Fred Thompson not on the list? Is he still deciding whether to run?
To: Laverne
Fred Thompson isn’t one of the candidates available at this debate.

In fiscal matters, we rely on audit trails. In ballistics terms, we chart trajectory. In human nature, past actions are the best predictor of future performance. It’s why every employer insists on a verifiable RESUME and many give integrity and drug screening tests.
As an employer looking for a trustworthy public servant to fill a four-year contract position opening in January 2009, I am looking without panic, with all due diligence, at the quality of candidates.
Major firms know you hire for attitude and train for skills. I’d rather have a less-seasoned leader of integrity and courage than a skilled bureaucRat in charge.
Any employer knows it’s easier to hire than fire. Moral trajectory—CHARACTER—counts.
And on this National Day of Prayer, I pray that eyes and ears and hearts will be open to the principles that made America great.

I am looking at this debate as a job interview for Fred Thompson’s Vice President. Expect him to announce once shortly after the last show of the season for Law & order, the last week of May.
