~Nicknames ~ George Herman Ruth, Jr. (February 6, 1895 August 16, 1948), also known as Babe, The Bambino, The Sultan of Swat, and The Colossus of Clout, was an American Major League baseball player from 1914-1935. Ruth is regarded by many historians and fans as the greatest baseball player of all time, due to a combination of his on-field accomplishments and records; his significant roles both in changing the way baseball is played and in establishing the New York Yankees dynasty; and his resulting worldwide name-recognition. He is a charter member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The cat, nicknamed Macavity, has one blue eye and one green eye.
The cat was nicknamed Macavity after the mystery cat in T.S Elliots poem. He gets on the bus in front of a row of 1950s semi-detached houses and jumps off at a row of shops down the road which include a fish and chip shop.
Driver Bill Khunkhun, 49, who first saw the cat jumping from the bus in January, said: It is really odd, the first time I saw the cat jumping off the bus with a group of passengers. I hadnt seen it get on which was a bit confusing.
The next day I pulled up on Churchill Road to let a couple of passengers on. As soon as I opened the doors the cat ran towards the bus, jumped on and ran under one of the seats, I dont think any of the passengers noticed.
Because I had seen it jump off the day before I carried on driving and sure enough when I stopped just down the road he jumped off - I dont know why he would catch the bus but he seems to like it. I told some of the other drivers on this route and they have seen him too.
Since January, when the cat first caught the bus he has done it two or three times a week and always gets on and off at the same stops.
Passenger, Paul Brennan, 19, who catches the 331 to work, said: I first noticed the cat a few weeks ago. At first I thought it had been accompanied by its owner but after the first stop it became quite clear he was on his own.
He sat at the front of the bus, waited patiently for the next stop and then got off. It was was quite strange at first but now it just seems normal. I suppose he is the perfect passenger really - he sits quietly, minds his own business and then gets off.

Well I had never heard my name before, and several years later, we were on vacation. And I’m sitting at the pool, and I hear real loud yelling, MIMO, MIMO, MIMO!
Well of course......I yelled back “WHAT?”
Then I saw my Grand Children, so I knew it wasn’t them.
And around the side of the condo, came a 5 year old little sweetie. still calling.....”MIMO, MIMO, MIMO,” just looking at me funny like.
And then...I hear that Grand Mother say here I am!
It was the only other time I had ever heard that Grand name.;-)

Nicknames...got several When 5 years old I had to endure getting my hair cut by my Uncle... First haircut finished, my Grandmother said.....Your head looks like a “spud” So I was “spud” until my next name assignment in Basic training when we were being inspected.. Best spit shined boots and neat uniform got a weekend pass. I really wanted to get one (pass) so I worked on my boots with my secret recipe.. When it came time to be inspected my Drill Instructor (nickname KoolAid..HE wuz so cool) took one look at me and said D—n Boy !! It looks like the KIWI Bird done S-it on your boots !!! That was my name through basic, AIT- and Viet Nam.. Next fast forward to middle age when my 70 year old Grandmother called me “MIKEY” in the Emergency Room where I worked at the time. The Nurses have not let me live that one down yet. Oh,and also now “Contrarian” because my wife says that I would argue with a sign post.
