Codey 'upset' over focus on Corzine's speed, seatbelt

Acting Gov. Richard Codey said he's "a little surprised and a little upset" that so much of the public reaction to Gov. Jon Corzine's auto crash injuries has revolved around how fast his SUV was traveling and the fact that he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
"I am a little confused and baffled by all the talk about no seatbelt and how fast, when someone is in such grave condition that we would focus on that, both by the public and the media," Codey said during a press conference in Newark about campus security.

If Codey's surprised, he must be stupid. Speed and seat-belt status are two factors contributing directly to Corzine's condition.
What does he want us to focus on? The mind set that he doesnt have to follow the law that we (little people) have to follow. The arrogance of the elected elite! They can CAUSE the accident, place some of the little people in jeopardy, and then complain that was are focusing on another example of his bizarre behavior! That in itself is dismissive of the little people of New Jersey who are in contention of being the dumbest voters in this country. I still think that Massachusetts is dumber in this category. They send the swimmer and the war hero back to the Senate every time they are up for election.
This is just another example of Corzines erratic behavior that is based on his immense idea of self and superior complex. Sure he founded Goldman Saches, but he was fired by this own company. Once he was fired he lived in a pretend world and conducted business in his limo parked on the street outside of his office. Ht bought the NJ State employee vote with a $500K loan the his ex-chick which he forgave the day before she endorsed him. 91 mph in a 65 zone with flashing lights to get to a Photo Opt. causes an accident while not wearing his seat belt: just what aspects of his stupid erratic, and arrogant behavior should we focus on??

What Acting Governor Codey meant:
"The laws we enact in New Jersey are for all you 'little people'. People like Governor Corzine amd myself are your betters -- your masters. You must obey us. We don't have to obey anything. Now get back to work and pay your taxes."
People like this guy should be given a one-way ticket back to The Land of the Little People where they can learn what it’s like to have to obey laws.
And people like the governor get so accustomed to feeling they are not subject to man-made laws that after a while they begin to feel the same way about the laws of nature. Driving way too fast and not wearing a seat belt in an accident at that speed are laws of physics and you disregard them at your own peril.
Let me repeat for emphasis, what a great example of just how out of touch politicians are with the real world.
Thinking the same thing.
“I am a little confused and baffled...”
Then you’re the PERFECT guy to be acting governor of New Jersey! Most NJ politicians are more than a LITTLE confused and baffled.
Why the flashing lights? Getting to the Imus meeting with the Rutgers womens BB team was an emergency?
I think Codey’s upset mainly because he realizes that — no matter what nice things they might say in public — most people in New Jersey really don’t give a sh!t about Corzine at all.
I wonder what Corzine’s medical bills are going to be after this is over? You can be sure every penny is going to be paid by the overburdened taxpayers of the PRNJ. All this could have been saved if these idiots had acted responsibly. Mr. Codey, you can just STFU.
The governor and other officials in NJ are above NJ law. The legislature is even now working on an exemption for Important People to physical laws as well. Unfortunately that Act was not completed in time to save the Governor from injury.
Gee pal, what part of the country do you live in? Where I live the Beltway rarely gets above 25-30 MPH during daylight hours. Even the weekends are getting bad now....but 90mph tailgating every day of the week? Maybe you should get out of the left lane. (:^*)
All these critics have been financed by big seat belt.
Does he know something that is not being told to the MSM???
I'm not privy to the real numbers but I would be shocked if Governor Arrogance's hospital stay hasn't already cost the taxpayers of the state of New Jersey $300,000. As badly broken as he is, the total bill is going to come to 2 or 3 million dollars and every penny of that is coming from other people.
People have been pretty restrained indeed.
Let’s see. What are the germane facts in investigating the accident? Oh, yes.
