FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Gathering of Eagles, an honorable group of Veterans and concerned Patriotic Americans has requested a permit for a rally to be held at the Coast Guard Academy on May 23, 2007, during their graduation ceremony.

This rally is being held to counter the left wing A.N.S.W.E.R. Rally being held on the same day.

The Graduation of some of America's finest citizens from one of our most prestigious academies should not be marred by the vocal outrage of what is a minority in our country.

The GATHERING OF EAGLES requests that all concerned parties make an effort to be at the Coast Guard Academy on May 23, 2007, at 8 AM to rally in support of our men and women who are graduating from this fine institution. It is our specific request that all interested persons attend with signs showing their love of the men and women who serve and to our country that these men and women may have to give their lives in defense of. Signs are welcome that say appropriate slogans to support our Coast Guard personnel and our nation and our President, who will also be in attendance.

Also, someone told me that the MOTHER of one of the cadets protested at HER SON’S own graduation!!

We all know it isn't just military families that sport such poor excuses for mothers. It does seem a bit out of place, though; and in one celebrated case the Sheehan has been given a forum for worthlessness as a mother many politicians would kill for.

I'm pretty sure if my mother planned to protest my graduation, she would do it from the sidewalk. There's a fighting chance she wouldn't get a ticket to any of the events. There is an equal chance that she would have seen the last of me, and any friends I met along the way would learn I was an orphan...unless my father still belonged in the picture. I can't imagine a man worthy of the distinction putting up with such a worthless woman as soon as he learned how worthless she is.

President Bush is not simply going to "be there." He will deliver the commencement address, which he does at one or another service academy every year. You may recall that his doctrine of preemption was first laid out at such an address, West Point in 2002, I believe.

If you want people to come and support Gathering of Eagles, you ought to publish the Academy's location and address: 31 Mohegan Ave., New London, CT.
