Dismissal of U.S. Attorneys
Atty. Gen. Alberto Gonzales testifies before a Judiciary Cmte. hearing on the recent firing of eight U.S. Attorneys. Critics have questioned the motivation for the firing and the Atty. Gen.'s role in the process. The original hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, was post-
poned because of the Virginia Tech University shootings.

It makes me laugh looking at who sits on this committee. The crimes that those folks have committed outweigh anything that the AG has done.
Freakin' bizzarro world!

When will this administration learn that you cannot win with these people?
AG has nothing to loose by starting to kick some serious butt.

He’s doing a little better now.

They deserved an apology. Someone went to congress and said they were fired for bad reviews. Most of them were not fired for being bad at their job, merely for not having the president’s priorities.
There was no reason to cast their abilities to do thier jobs into question. That is what started this, and what he apologizes for again and again.
He says the firings will stand, which means he is NOT apologizing for them being fired, just for the way they were treated.

I take it back.
I’ll have a hub cap full of Marguerita’s please.
If I start now.....

They delayed the hearings for two days in the hopes to get out of the coverage, but they couldn’t put it off forever.
To: HonestConservative
Kennedy is basically saying that if we don’t have evidence that they were fired for the wrong reasons, they must have been.

I wouldn’t have expected him to do well. I’ve never been impressed with his ability to speak in public. I can tell he has a good mind, but he’s not quick on his feet.

The DUmmies are po’d that it is only being carried on C Span 3. “It’s a conspiracy”!

He’s an agent of Satan. I’m sure if you check his wallet, he’s got a fancy laminated card saying so, too.

Same logic as “if I’m a Kennedy, I must be a freakin’ genius”. Blub, blub, blub.

F-ing Kennedy asks questions but doesn’t listen to the answers.
To: Clint N. Suhks
He doesn’t care about the answers. He has his script written already.

But read the rest of what I said. Sure Bush said that, then he goes right along with the circus. The charade today is as much Bush’s fault as the idiot, grandstanding senators. Bush should have stuck to his guns and refused to have the executive branch participate in these hearings. No documents, no witnesses, no nothing. The constitution gives him the right to ignore the lunatic mainstream that controls the senate.
