WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court upheld the nationwide ban on a controversial abortion procedure Wednesday, handing abortion opponents the long-awaited victory they expected from a more conservative bench.
The 5-4 ruling said the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act that Congress passed and President Bush signed into law in 2003 does not violate a woman's constitutional right to an abortion.

Good. Let those baby killing traitors that are the friend of our enemy and the enemy of our friends lose sleep and panic.
He beats the heck out of Rudy.
I don’t think she wanted the job.
With the media, the entire senate, and his wife pressuring him to nominate a woman, I’m sure he tried.
Yes, except that Doe v. Bolton, decided the same ugly day in 1973, sharply limits that regulation by defining "health of the woman" so broadly as to be meaningless. The court has *not* allowed broad restrictions on abortion after the first "trimester."
Did a Rooty Tooter say that? Thats says to me that Rooty's promise to appoint strict constructionist judges to the court was another lie. If they say people like abortion, then they are telling us that Rudy would be lying to us.
They can't have it both ways.
Ramesh Ponnuru’s outstanding book, “Party of Death” explains why the “first trimester protection” idea is a myth, especially in light of Casey. Roe is just such a bad case, badly written, that it goes far beyond what the public has been told.
Today is a great step in the right direction!
Great news!!! Thanks for ping.
I'm sure a Democrat would have gotten around to banning PBA sooner or later...sarcasm
What exactly is the lie of which you are accusing me?

You just know this news is going to make the liberal loons snap
Ya got any popcorn left over or should we stock up on some?
So... if it were to come down to a choice between Hitlery or a “moderate”... how do you vote? Are you going to dictate that another Ginsberg will be put on the USSC? Try to be realistic in your answer.
No, Roe only protects the first trimester, Doe vs. Bolton covered the whole nine months by introducing the health exemption. But that’s gone by the boards now, this ruling basically says that ones health must actually be in danger to qualify. Previously, health meant whatever the baby butcher said it did.
Great news - guaranteed to send the libs into apoplectic shock
Eating their own! :-)
Funniest line of the day:
“A President Gore would have never nominated a Justice Alito or a Justice Roberts.”
Bwahahahhahahahahaha!!
They’re certifiable, aren’t they?! :-)
Bush’s Fault!
...or a President Gore, or a President Kerry, or a President Edwards...
THANK GOD We’ll never find out!!
RUN, FRED, RUN!!
Bad news for them is usually great news for us. I hope they lose a lot of sleep. Meanwhile, this barbaric murder procedure has been appropriately banned.
You've got that right. He would have never signed the ban in the first place. And he would appoint a couple of Souters dressed up in Roberts' clothes.
