'Thug' bikers have it all wrong

By Mike Seate TRIBUNE-REVIEW Tuesday, April 17, 2007

Marie Malagreca wasn't looking for trouble when she traveled from her home in O'Hara to Washington, D.C., for an anti-war protest. But when the 79-year-old woman arrived in the nation's capital on March 17, she found her path blocked by a beefy, leather-clad biker with an agenda. "He got right in my face and started asking me what I thought I was doing protesting the Iraq war," she said, "and then he started calling me dirty names." Malagreca was one of several local protesters who shared similar stories of being roughed up, verbally abused and intimidated by a group of motorcyclists who staged a rowdy counter-protest to the most recent anti-war march on Washington.

This same Mike Seate writes a monthly column for Iron Horse magazine, a motorcycle publication catering to V-Twin fans. His column is called “Seate Time”.

Mea Culpa, Damn! And I have a subscription to that rag . . .

I hadn’t detected this kind of tripe in his column, though there is a common thread of what I’d refer to as a ‘sense of obligation’ to be good ambassadors of the sport prevalent in many of his columns.

I guess I’m one of these Thugs of which he speaks, if only in spirit (I couldn’t make the call).

I will admit to wishing I’d participated in the “protester bounce”; sounds like fun!

I have to admit I only found the mistake because I went to Iron Horse to catch one of his columns after reading your post. Searched him out at IW and knew I had ya!! LOL!

I gave up on the national publications just for the reason we see here. This guy is read by “thugs” like us everyday. Probably had a hand in recruiting Ellton John for the 100th too!

Hey: “Thugs” ??.. Were we just “Imus’d”??
I’m crushed!
My life is over!
I’ll never recover!
Fire the Bas—d!!

“And by the red of their skin, they’re cookin’ up real good, too.”

The event is several days in the desert, you noticed they were a little red, but it didn’t hurt their good looks did it.

It is just a collection of fine looking chick bait.

But between the marchers and their destination stood several hundred bikers from groups including Rolling Thunder and Gathering of Eagles.
Though they are not considered outlaw motorcycle gangs, the groups ride loud Harley-Davidsons and wear black leathers emblazoned with gang-style back patches.

He didn't twist that very far, did he?
Another liberal asshat.

Unless you're talking about the same incident, there were two signs ripped up.
Maj Pain snatched one and broke it over his knee.

Maj Pain's words: Then one of “them” handed me one of their prefabricated mass produced “traitor” signs as if I wanted to carry the shit stick, I broke it over my knee and threw it to his feet. He got the point.

Not to be picky, but he didn't "snatch" anything, it was handed to him.

The incident I was speaking of was a defensive 'snatch, rip to shreads, hold composure and don't beat him with his sign stick." scenario. Word got out real fast that was not to be repeated.

But,, as the moonbats were heading out they ditched their signs like last weeks newsrag. They just dropped them on the ground and kept walking. The signs were laying all over the sidewalks,,,, we stepped on as many as we could. Picking them up and putting them in the trash cans was fun for a very short while. :-)

Understood...but knowing the Major personally, I can see the scene being played out:
Moonbat:Would you like a sign?
MajPain:Yea give me that damn thing.
I have to admire the moonbats courage or question his sanity. Maj Pain is, well, he's not a little guy.
and you have Freepmail.
