BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The suspected gunman in the Virginia Tech shooting rampage, Cho Seung-Hui, was a troubled 23-year-old senior from South Korea who investigators believe left an invective-filled note in his dorm room, sources say.
The note included a rambling list of grievances and ended with the words "Ismail Ax" in red ink on the inside of one of his arms.

Primary care doctors prescribe SSRI-antidepressants to millions of adults, adolescents and children, certainly not only for treatment of depression anymore. SSRIs are prescribed for school phobias, bed wetting, eating disorders, sleep disturbances (insomnia), nail biting, hair pulling, headache, gambling addiction, alcohol addiction, back pain, stomach upset, premenstrual syndrome, etc., and even to feel better then well. SSRIs have become all purpose feel good pills, nowadays, in the year 2000. Unfortunately many doctors are unaware of the major consequences and some of them dont even seem to care. They argue that the positive effects of SSRIs far outweigh their negative effects. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Jeremy Strohmeyer raped and murdered a 7-year-old girl one week after he started taking Dexedrine.
Columbine High Schools Eric Harris was taking Luvox.
T.J. Solomon, 15, who attended Heritage High School in Conyers, Ga., was taking Ritalin when he opened fire on his classmates, wounding six.

Let us not focus on the guns and start focusing on the real killers of our young people. It is the drug companies.

Well if he was it will be covered up by the media, or the very least it will be downplayed. Now if he was a Christian on the other hand...err, well you know where I’m going!

You got that right, it is very useful to keep an eye on those who claim to be keeping an eye on others. Well said there Angela.

My bet is that he wasn’t even that organized. It might be misspelled or misinterpreted by investigators.

He was an English major so I'd hope he'd have written something that could be understood. That's not the way it's done anymore.

Please...why makes this worse than it is.What if this killer is actually a muslim terrorist carrying out the orders of his imam?

"Psychiatrists describe depression as 'anger turned inwards'."
The anger turns OUTWARD in some of the depressed young on anti-depressants. They don't get "happy and carefree" like a lot of older people on them.

That bit of information makes this incident terrorism IMO.
He acted on his perceived victimology and used Allah to justify it.
There is no difference between what he did, and the 9/11 hijackers did, or any of the other myriad of attacks in the the last thirty or so years, in my opinion.

“Xai” is a Korean name of some sort, I deduce from a Google search. I defer to someone who can read the language.

So he left a note decrying the “rich white kids” - this guy sounds like a big lib.
So there you have it, liberalism really does kill.

Cho died with the words "Ismail Ax" in red ink on the inside of one of his arms.
Now why did he affix that muslim name on his arm?
He thought by now he'd be in heaven meeting 72 virgins.

"Both Jewish and Islamic traditions consider Ishmael as the ancestor of Arab people..." I may be assuming to much, but can't we assume after four years of college as an "English" major, the killer could make a simple spelling distinction.
"Ismial" not = "Ishmael"
"Ismial" is exclusively a Muslim spelling of a common Muslim name.

A note believed to have been written by Cho was found in his dorm room that railed against "rich kids," "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus. He could have been writing about the Congress.

There were mass murderers long before Prozac was invented. What drove them to it? More to the point ... if the boy was off his meds, then he'd be just as nuts as those previous mass murderers.

Despite this devil coming from South Korea, whos to say he didnt convert to or at least sympathize with the Muzzies after he came to the US. Nothing. My point is right now we don't know anything about him except that he exhibited the behavior of a mentally unstable loner.
That said, the chances of an immigrant from South Korea succumbing to sudden jihadi syndrome are remote, although this "ismail ax" thing is sure strange.
