It is ultimate in arrogance to think that human beings are more powerful than our planet. I have sailed about 100000 miles and will testify to Congress that Mother Nature is in charge!

Since we are talking the global warming religion I say "Amen"!

I totally agree. The only thing close is Al thinking he has the key to saving the world.

Global Warming is big business. Follow the money. He is in favor of Kyoto. The Senate wasn't, 97-0.

He's clueless about combat. I know, because here is the Viet Nam picture of him staring down the barrel of his weapon.

ping...

Funny story (at least to me). Yesterday my 11 year old daughter "bombed" her state capitals test. Teacher made her and two others that failed it stand in front of the class and explain themselves. My daughter asked why she should learn state capitals when Al Gore says that they'll all be under water in 3 years anyway. Teacher was in a bad mood and replied "just in case you need to figure out where to swim". My daughter's such a smart a**. How can I bring myself to punish her for not studying when she just made me so proud?

The entire solar system appears to be warming up lately. What's the root cause? As an update to my story earlier this month on the discovery of global warming on Mars, I thought it appropriate to survey the rest of the solar system. Global warming was detected on Jupiter last year, and the warming is apparently behind the formation of a second red spot. Global warming on Neptune's moon Triton has also been noted, with severe atmospheric changes as a result. And even tiny Pluto has experienced moderate warming in recent years, with temperatures rising a full 3.5 degrees. The...

US Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works - Newsroom ^ | March 12, 2007 | Lorne Gunter
Mars's ice caps are melting, and Jupiter is developing a second giant red spot, an enormous hurricane-like storm. The existing Great Red Spot is 300 years old and twice the size of Earth. The new storm -- Red Spot Jr. -- is thought to be the result of a sudden warming on our solar system's largest planet. Dr. Imke de Pater of Berkeley University says some parts of Jupiter are now as much as six degrees Celsius warmer than just a few years ago. Neptune's moon, Triton, studied in 1989 after the unmanned Voyageur probe flew past, seems to have...

Has he blamed Katrina on GW yet? Good grief, he is talking about nuclear arms control! Someone needs to ask him if he will be in favor of nuclear power to ease 'global warming'....(rolling eyes)

This is a way to suck productive people dry.

They will take $$$ from the producers and give it to the nonproducers.

And this tax will be world-wide.

He just trumped Roosevelt and his Income Tax.

Contrary to this analogy it is those who call for scientific facts in the global warming "debate" who are guarding the pass against the multitudes who have succumbed to the hysteria of Gore's apocalyptic vision... If they lose their courage the world will be change to end a threat that has no proven basis in fact.
