Republican Rudy Giuliani is the most appealing presidential contender in the United States, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 31 per cent of respondents say they will definitely vote for the former New York City mayor if he runs for president in 2008.

Democratic New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is a close second with 30 per cent, followed by Democratic Illinois senator Barack Obama with 28 per cent, Republican Arizona senator John McCain with 21 per cent, and Democratic former North Carolina senator John Edwards with 20 per cent.

When asked which candidate they would definitely not support in the 2008 presidential ballot, 46 per cent of respondents mention Rodham Clinton. Edwards is second on the list with 39 per cent, followed by Obama with 37 per cent, McCain with 34 per cent, and Giuliani with 28 per cent.

That's all you have - a declaration that Rudy supporters, ipso facto, aren't real conservatives.

Sadly for you, it is a lie. I am as conservative as anyone here, as conservative as you, and that remains factually true whether you acknowledge it or not. Your personal opinion is immaterial.

"I would rather lose than win with Rudy. There I said it. To confront a problem you need to admit it. Yes you have RDS(Rudy Derangement Syndrome}"

If adhering to one's principles is a problem. Then yes I have one. I am glad you are free from that burden. I will keep mine.

"I am as conservative as anyone here"

Then how can you support Rudy? What is his appeal to a conservative?

"It upsets me because I am watching the death of the Republican Party right before my eyes."

It's not Rudy or his support that is killing
the Repub party it is this current crew of Repubs who had it all and did nothing but spend money.

If it takes a social moderate ass kicker like Rudy to move the ball on entitlements...tort reform...border control.....tax reform...energy policy...runaway spending then the socons only have themselves to blame.

If Rudy can do to Washington what he did for NYCity he will save the GOP.

"Apparently dmw can't tell the difference between posting different new articles, about someone who IS news, vs. others posting the identical 30 year old spam on every thread."

There were several MSM articles posted today that were unfavorable about your candidate. They were either called old and outdated, or they were called spam. Yeah, it works both ways.

BTW, aren't you the same poster who lied about Rick Satorum supporting Rudy? Yeah, I thought so. You have no credibility here. No conservatives here believe much of what you say. You never did back your statement up even though several of us called you on it.

Look at Hillary's negatives. She has a guaranteed 42% support but won't rise above that nationally because she is such a polarizing figure.

I agree. If Giuliani gets the
nomination, say goodbye to a
Republican 08' President.

What has happened to the GOP?
A splintered GOP will not win
in 08'. We need a unifier nominee
not a divider.

Santorum's own words that I posted were CLEARLY supportive of Rudy.

You are being worse than childish, when you are trying to insist, that unless someone actually utters some specific phrase DEFINED BY YOU, it doesn't count as "support".

You are the one who is LYING about me.

You know this is really getting tiresome. I wish we could debate one Rudy Issue at at time. We could start a thread on a single issue and have at it. We are all wasting a lot of energy.

What do we agree on? There must be something that we all agree on?

Rudy is strongly pro Israel. Is that one?
Rudy is a Social liberal. Is that one?

In the interest of saving bandwidth, let me explain SPAM to you.

narses posts SPAM. Have a look and see if you can identify SPAM. Just scroll down a little.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?id=84362

The posting of articles is not SPAM. The posting of the same article is called a duplicate posting and they're usually pulled, unless the first posting was 24 hours earlier.

The postings of several, but different articles on the same subject is not SPAM.

I will agree with you that Rudy articles appear most often, but that's not SPAM.

So hit the abuse button. Except you misread the definition of spam. But go ahead, complain.

I have answered that many, many, many times.

If I thought you were genuinely interested, I'd answer again.

Show me one post of mine troll, wherein I am supporting Rudy Guiliani.

*Hint* you won't find one. I do not have a candidate at this point, but unlike you, I do not hate the man.

I really have to laugh at you, in that your SPAM has put more posters in his court and that is an undeniable fact according to the two posters who keep the Rudy ping lists.

Giuliani was asked whether he supported banning partial-birth abortion.

“No, I have not supported that,” he said, “and I don’t see my position on that changing.”
