From tom Maguire at
Just One Minute blog
"AND AT NBC: I assume David Shuster, Chris Matthews, and Keith Olbermann are incoherent with glee (the "incoherent" is a safe bet in most scenarios). However, we eagerly await word from David Gregory as to whether Ari Fleischer was credible when he claimed he leaked to Messrs. Gregory and Dickerson."

The guy did nothing wrong, other than to lie for his boss. He was only following orders from his boss.Do you have any evidence of that, or are you just making an accusation without any proof?
To: Steve_Seattle
You're kind of making my point. THIS was the heart of the case all along, so it was incumbent on Libby's lawyers to GET THIS BEFORE THE JURY somehow, and there are many ways to do so. Instead, Wells painted Cheney and Rove as the bad guys. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID. He played right into the hands of the libs.

Denis with one N just said we did not care if he was lying or not... heck it happens all the time!!!!!!!!!! That statement was about lying to reporters (Matt Cooper).

No. She would have said that they were tired and confused and didn't really understand and wanted to go home and live their lives.

Dave... where's the proof?
You base this on Ari or Libby saying he didn't remember and coming back saying he may have?

Fitzgerald has just given reporters free reign to do anything and say anything they want without having to back it up. Hmmmm, he is allowing them to play by the same rules he uses? How ironic.

It wasn't "years ago." It was a couple of months when he spoke to the FBI, and less than a year when he testified. But keep spinning. It shows what you are here for.

when he mentions the hated "rove and cheney" he's angling for a book contract And he's also stating that he couldn't be an impartial jurior and give Libby a fair trial

Fitz already said he's not going anywhere else. It's over.
But that does Libby no good.

To me, that shows they already had their minds made up and convicted Libby because they didn't have Rove or Cheney.
To: Dave S
"He lied, apparently to save his job, thinking that blaming it on the press would save him because the press wouldnt give up their source. A little clever by too much."
That doesn't fly with me. Why not just say, "I don't remember?" Who can argue with that? It was good enough for Russert, good enough for Hillary.
To: Howlin
Why didn't Libbys' lawyer strike this Denis with one N from the jury? Had he used up all his strikes by the time they got to this POS? How convenient is that??
I'm just weak with disgust. This opens the door wide open for the monsters to go after Bush and Cheney. And they will...no doubt about it.

You must mean supporting Rudy, because you can't do that on a conservative website without being a liar.Let's see...I guess that would make Rep. Pete Sessions, Rep. David Drier, former Rep. Jim Nussle, Andrew McCarthy and Rick Brookheiser of National Review, Deroy Murdock of Human Events, Emmett Tyrrell of The American Spectator, Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle, columnist Maggie Gallegher, former VA AG Jerry Kilgore, and Michael Reagan, all liars.
To: popdonnelly
Lots of folks showing up here today who don't post much, if at all. I wouldnt be surprised if a third of them think that Libby was on trial for leaking the name of a CIA agent.
Libby lied and got caught. You cant be told and tell others about Wilson and Plame and that she works at the CIA that many times, including trying to get Fleischer to leak the story to the press three days earlier and then magically be told for the first time by Tim Russert.

Apparently some of the jurors have been commenting that Libby was essentially small fish and "Where's Rove, Where's Cheney?"
Denis Collins reporting the above, if I understood Rush correctly.
What is impartial about a WashPo reporter who wrote a book about spies?!
