LOS ANGELES It's a role so easy, even a caveman can do it.
A sitcom based on the Geico insurance cavemen ads is being developed for ABC, the Hollywood trade publication Variety reported.
The comedy would be about three cavemen living in modern-day Atlanta who are battling caveman-oriented prejudice, just as they do in the commercials, according to Variety.
The writer of the "so easy, even a caveman can do it" spots is also writing the sitcom.

The Geico Caveman Crib was fun. Don't forget to move your mouse around and click on stuff.
I remember now. I think this could be funny as hell if they do it right. I am pro caveman.
Is the Anna thread setting a record for posts?
20,700.
I think it's the party scene, where a two cavemen are interrupted by a third, saying "Tina and I are getting back together." Then, "Do you mind, we're having a discussion!"
Most of these transitions don't work. I hope this one does, because I find the caveman commercials absolutely hilarious.
Hey, Bewitched lasted for 10 years.
Not nearly as annoying as the Capitol One commercials with the guy who always said "very, very rewarding" with an accent. I haven't seen them in a while so perhaps a lot of other people found them equally annoying.
It's an interactive tour of the Caveman's apartment.

Anyone know who sings that song?
what was it about?
"It's About Time" was my favorite TV show as an 8 yr old kid. At the time, I soaked up anything that involved the space program. Even a ridiculous show about two astronauts getting thrown back into caveman time.
I still remember the theme song....
It's about time,
It's about space,
About two men in the strangest place...
I just saw the one where he's on a motorized conveyor belt at an airport, checking his airline ticket, as he passes a wall ad for Geico, featuring him and the standard line. He saw it, took it all in, got off the conveyor belt, adjusted his tie or something like that, and walked off with a very self-satisfied look. It was cute.
I am with you -- I've enjoyed the whole ad campaign.
On the playground at my school, we changed the last line to: "it's about time to slap your face" and then did.
I thought they were gay.
you didn't tell us about your big break!!!
Mrs T ping!
I can't stand the guy but the egocentric, metrosexual does work.
So, in that vein, how about the one where he wants to put his mother on speaker phone?
