I have never even looked at DU.

I don't mind a heated discussion but recently the remarks are not a discussion and it drowns out any reasonable debate.

Last night was a real eye opener no matter who anyone supported.

"I find the hate-Rudy vitriol to be equally distasteful. Mind you, I don't agree with his every position, but he's being needlessly excoriated around here."

I agree it does get vitriolic. The trouble is that Rudy supporters frequently come on like the primary was held last week--it wasn't. Excuse me--but there are those of us who want a choice in the primaries. This declaration of victory over a year out smacks of ignorant arrogance.

No one knows the outcome this far out. If you want proof of that read about the election of Jimmy Carter. In late '75 early '76 it was clear to everyone that Jerry Brown would carry the democratic nomination; clear to everyone except the abysmal Jimmy Carter.

My take on you is that you ain't yet really sure what you believe, and much too tempted to be politically correct, to ever be reliable! All you seem to be concerned with is your popularity factor!
I will never expect you to type out anything, until you check the wind out, first!
I'm done with debate, where I stand now is where I'm going to stand, period!
There is no room for "peacekeepers" here, way too late for that!
The "moderate republicans" have made proposals, a bunch of us have said, "Hell, no"! Nothing complicated about that, time for a pissing match, check your ammunition!
I say "NO", HELL NO", to all your liberal crap, best you figure out what it will take, to shove it down my throat.
I never bluff!

We probably don't agree on a broad array of issues, but you are an interesting person to debate with; keep up the good work.

Peach,

I give you credit for trying, but no matter how hard you work, you can never make a purse out of a sow's ear.

you are nuts. a comment like that is akin to the crazy comments the left makes about "Bush fought the war for oil", or "so Cheney could make money for Halliburton".

It's fun to play with liberals. Wasn't it good for you?

Your take isn't worth the electrons you used to pontificate. I have argued with both those people, hard, and I damned sure don't care about being popular.

What I care about is presenting a position--most of which agree with yours, especially about Rudy, and with demonstrably superior intellectual backing--that presents the case without resorting to ad hominem or ridiculously overblown invective. That makes me an entrant into a popularity contest? Not to the non-slobberers.

Sen. Brownback, Newt Gingrich, Michael Reagan, Ted Olson, Rep. Session and others like, support or endorse Rudy. I'm delighted to stand with them.

I like Rudy and I support his opposition to terrorism, so I've got two out of three on your list. So are you delighted to stand with me when I say I don't want Rudy to be the Republican nominee because he isn't a conservative candidate.

Liking Rudy and supporting an issue that Rudy supports does not equal an endorsement of him as nominee.

flashbunny:

I love the RINO collector cards, but I'd like to see this taken a step further. Particularly with a "RINOs Most Wanted" deck of playing cards, similar to the Iraqi most wanted cards w/ Saddam prominently featured on the Ace of spades.

Sadly, it's perhaps not too hard to find--and rank--52 RINOs and put their dubious politics on playing cards. My apologies if you've been asked this already, but I would definitely buy a deck of these cards. :)

It would have helped if you would have posted the comment in question, however, I made no crazy comments about Rudy, only factual statments that can be backed up. If you doubt anything I said, google Rudy and look up his records, check out his policies on illegals for instance. If you are refering to his contributing to 9/11 by his irresponsible actions regarding illegals my statements are spot on and a matter of record.

last time I looked, the planes that hit the WTC took off from other states. your tie of Rudy to responsibility for 9/11, is way out of bounds.

Gosh, the main-stream-media loves Rudy so much...

Yeah, FrontPage Magazine is real mainstream. Real bunch of RINO's over there.

At the same time I had a running discussion with Swamp and was a bit offended until I saw his posts to you and then realized he just is sitting on a little too much swamp-gas.

Rudy is getting more exposure on FR that Anna Nicole Smith is getting on Greta's hour of power on FNC!
