Women shun 'the man who has it all'

Some men are just too good to be true, according to a study published today by psychologists.
Men who are good-looking, single, and earn a fortune are not as attractive as good-looking men who have an average kind of job, according to the research.
Simon Chu of the University of Central Lancashire and colleagues studied how women weigh up male physical attractiveness and socio-economic status when considering a long-term relationship.
They collected data from 186 female university students in the UK, with an average age of 23, asking them to look at personal ads of various men and rank them in terms of attractiveness as a long-term partner. Each advertisement showed a "mug shot" and provided basic information about his age, occupation and what he is seeking in a partner.
Images of the men ranged from those who were previously measured to be highly attractive, attractive and unattractive. Eighteen different occupations were also randomly assigned, from architect and company director to waiter, postman and gardener.
Surprisingly, researchers found that highly attractive men of medium status scored better than highly attractive men of high status.
The team, whose work is published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, speculates that women perceive highly attractive men of increasing status to be less faithful and "too good to be true".

Men, on the other hand, are looking for a hot babe. She could be from the trailer park for all we care. If she's rich, it's a bonus. Yup, we are pigs.

You forgot white women. I know loads of them who only seem to go for men they can mold and control, and this includes white women in my own family.
The answer is simple.
They want a man who is well-off enough to support them, but not so rich that he is constantly being chased by other women.
They also might think that if he has such an important job, he'll devote all his time and attention to business.
This is a UK study. They've been brainwashed to distrust achievers. Any man with money is a Capitalist exploiter. They're more comfortable with the goodlooking everyday workingman.
Baloney! Women are nuts about me.
It has to be big and she must be able to brag about it...And, she must also have a large diamond to flash around.
I think this study shows a truth that has been evident to me for a while, and that I told my wife years ago.
There's nothing wrong with "settling".
I am on a Dating Service and the first question I am asked when I meet someone is what do I do for a living. The date is over at those words.
One stated any imcome but the vocation she wanted in a man was Banking and Finance.
One asked three times where I lived. The town I live in is mostly middle to low income. There's a small section of very high income homes. Apparenly, the women wasn't aware of that section. When she finally understood where I lived, for her, the date was over.
Women in their forties and higher are looking for security and nothing else matters after that point.
It is not possible to understand what "women" want.

Women often don't want what they want.
I say if you want to be happy, give 'em what they want. If you can figure that out.
Or you could try the advice from a wonderful song. "if you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, make an ugly woman your wife."

What women say they want and what they really want (as ultimately proven by their choices) are three different things!

The "study" sounds bogus to me. Women like the money.
I suspect a few of the participants fudged a little, maybe feeling they should respond in a way that makes them look like sure, that they can get by with less. That way they they look less greedy and feel better about themselves. Like having a piece of cake, and washing it down with a Diet Coke.
Well, that explains my problem.
I'm 36 years old, very good looking, 6ft tall, muscular, not an ounce of fat. I have the perfect tan and I'm a millionaire......... and can't find a good woman.
I guess I'm just too perfect. (I'm a good liar too)
