On right now...
And even as we grieve for those who lost their lives, and our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their loved ones, we may be able to find some sort of meaning in this tragedy by using it as a catalyst to revive national gun control efforts.
Rudolph Giuliani
The 11th Commandment forbids posting the truth about people?
I take the Mayor at his word - not leftist blog scripts from 1996.
He wasn't an absolute dictator of NYC, you know - they have an entire city government there in which he served as Executive of the will of his constituents.
You seem to excel at name-calling and invective. Do you look forward to getting up every day?
I agree with this 100%. Abortion is a losing political issue that has lost us much of the female vote. Like everything else, single issue voters have politicalized these issues to where they are costing us votes.
Rudy seems to be able to see the nuances of the political arena. It will serve him well.
I told you not to post to me and now you send me freep mail which I am not opening. You go around this site posting the same thing over and over again and I don't post back to anyone who posts spam and I don't care what the subject is.
are you on speed ?
I tried it once and stayed up for 24 hours doing my taxes ,when I came down I realized it was someone elses taxes.
And my remark was about weasel words and lying, but what do YOU care about facts and the truth? LOL
You are not posting the truth about anyone. Gungrabbing crossdresser is not discussion but putdowns. Now go back to the DNC and get some more orders.
Why don't you have a page, or can't you come up with any reasons why your a Conservative and would show what a phony you are?
Pray for W and Our Troops
NP -- didn't know we were guys!
The 11th commandment was and is a fallacy.
Reagan played hardball with Brown and Christopher in 1966, and won. He played hardball with Ford in 1976 and almost won. Then took on George Bush and Jimmah Carter in 1980 and won. Topping it off by trouncing Mondale in 1984.
You wanna beat the liberals at their own brand of politics, you do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Yes, people forget that the national audience requires something more than what the local effort requires. Reagan was a Democrat before he was a Republican. What I like about Rudy is his grasp of the nuances of things. He really impressed me with this interview.
LOL, I'm just going to stay up to read your posts :)
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. Source: CNN.com, Inside Politics Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htmANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)
RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

You took that Guliani statement totally out of context, and of course ignored my questions.
Think about society at its base or core. Without any rules of man. Nature takes over. Springer-style, with one person kiling another. Like animals.
Humans create law, authority, "the man." That authority, where there are consequences to your action (jail, the death penalty (which Rudy supports), etc) and you're going to think twice before commiting a crime.
Are you truly "Free" in the original state of nature, no. Because your person, your property can be taken just because some other guy wants to.
But how about when you start to enact laws to protect you and your property and have people held accountable for trangessions when another violates those laws.
Then you are free. You can buy property, have an expectation of being safe, say what you want to say (within reason), engage in political discord.
As far as gun control goes. Just about every stupid liberal nimwit in NYC is for gun control. Rudy needed to get elected by a majority of these dumb nitwits. What do you expect him to say?
And then he refused to campaign for him and we all lost. I don't find that admirable at all.
I've never seen so much spam by a single person in a single thread.
Good night.
Dude, don't get so upset about this...Giuliani will be whacked by Patacki because of Cuomo...it will be amongst the Italians and there will be nothing we can do about it...now get some rest.
Not so fast there...wait until Scalia and Alito step in :)
Oh my God!
Not again, and again, and again, and again...
