Advertisements in Superbowl - Snickers commercial

Last evening, as I watched the Superbowl with my nine year old son, I became extremely annoyed at the MARS Corporation and their advertisement for Snickers which showed two guys locking lips. I can't even fathom why somebody thought that this would be a good advertisement for that particular product and why they chose to air it during this event, especially when they knew children would be watching. If their aim was to draw controversy in the hopes of increasing sales, then I sincerely hope they missed their mark. I hope that, instead, they lose sales because of their idiocy.

I called in and registered my strong disapproval this morning at 1-908-852-1000. (If you call, when you get the phone tree, just press "0")

Our family will not be buying MARS products ... Products that MARS makes/distributes: M&M'S, SNICKERS, MARS bars, Milky Way, Skittles, and TWIX.

Did you notice the shape of the guitar body Prince was playing. When the large curtain went up and Prince was in silhouette part of the guitar body looked like Prince had a Devil's tail.

Seeing Prince all washed up doing the halftime show was pretty funny.

After seeing the beginning of his/her halftime show, I commented to my brother that I wish they would just put the two top college marching bands on the field and put on a show. Then, onto the field comes an all black marching band doing gyrations like an african rain dance ritual. I guess because it was black awareness month and having Lovie and Tony as the coaches, the network thought this would be highly entertaining. They thought wrong. What a waste of time.

I quit watching the halftime shows since the "Wardrobe Malfunction" with JJ and JT two years ago.

Prince-ess also is a really big dud trying to re-re-jumpstart his career like JJ. Imagine the wardrobe malfunction he must have considered? I am sure he would have tried had they let him.

I think you must, with all due respect, have a tin ear. Billy Joel sang the anthem with almost zero deviations from the way it is written. My son's girlfriend (a music teacher) and I (musician for most of my 48 years) both marvelled at how straight, uh, as written, he sang the anthem.

And given that he sang the entire anthem sitting down at the piano, just what the hell were you watching "prancing around like San Francisco homo with a gerbil up his butt", must have been someone at your house.
