I'd love to think like Iowafan that all the Bears problems are because of Rex and Griese is the magic answer. I'd love for it to be that simple.
And it's more a reaction to some fans in general than Iowafan in particular and I apologize to him or her.
I think Iowa is just being knee jerk. And having an emotional response to the game.
making some broad assumptions about me throughout the night based on a couple of simple statements.
I'm a 53 year old "her" who's been a bears fan since the 60's watching with my dad at Grandma's after Sunday dinner. I had a slight diversion to the Redskins when Geo. Allen left the Rams and the old guys were at WASH. - fun days with Sonny and Billy. Football has been a family passion all my life - mostly with the Iowa Hawkeyes and Hayden Fry.
no where did I blame Rex for the loss (he was just the only name I posted) and I don't believe you could correctly infer that I thought Griese would be the answer although I did mention him. I just said I believed the position should be up for grabs in 2007.
I commend Lovie's fortitude of sticking with Rex through the season. It was the right thing to do.
I don't see at all where I've been emotional tonight, and I wish I knew myself as well as you assume you know me from your remarks. You've directly or indirectly called me stupid, emotional, indulging in knee jerk reactions and lacking football knowledge, all of which would make my friends laugh out loud.
Rex should be proud he has such a supporter, seems like a standup guy.
I'm also a 7 Habits Fan - Habit 5 "Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood" - is a useful habit I try to practice daily.
No offense taken, night night... signing off.

Fumbles You mean the pull-out-before-taking-the-snap fumbles? Yes, those, too.

Yep. In all fairness though, the rain obviously caused all kinds of problems for both teams.

Rex is not even as good as, say, Brad Johnson, or Trent Dilfer.
I've watched that kid play football for many years, IMHO, he will NEVER be a "great" QB. He can be good, and even good enough to win a SB (See the two gentlemen listed above), but he will never be great.

Another reason to support the Colts is the fact that Payton is a Republican!
He donated money to Bob Corker and Bush!

Yeah Paul and his old bandmates, please.
Prince was kicking ass and taking no prisoners in pouring rain.
Michael Jackson wouldn't dare go out there; his nose would melt.
As always Prince has the finest women. His dancers were showstopping good.

I will bet that some on this thread still do not know that both coaches are black.
The race baiting enabling diversifying Maim Stream sport's press probably has not printed the fact (more than a few hundred thousand times) that had not Tony been black he would not have won the Stuper Bowl.

LOL - "World Champions"? Easy, when it´s a sport that is hardly played outside the US! :)

I NEVER voted for the tax increase, and it will be a cold day in hell before I EVER pay for the opportunity to buy tickets for an NFL game. Heh, heh.
But you still have to pay the taxes.
Nuts.

Tell me about it! I`m starting to get really sick of seeing her in the news everyday. Just wait till we get closer to the election though, it`s going to be hell.
It`ll be like cBS promoting Katie Couric; her face all over the place, her face on every bus, every taxi, every subway car, every magazine, newspaper, every square inch of available spacein Times Square. I would even go so far to say they make an 50 foot by 50 foot poster of Hellary and hang it from the empire state building! lol!
And of course this will be on top of the Hollywood liberals like Rosie ODonnell who will have their Radio city and Broadway spectaculars for Hellary like they did when she was runnning for Senator.
I think I may take a long vacation at that time.

For the "fun of it" you were very perceptive.
Yes... Jack Bauer will save the world again!
BTW... I still don't know how to post pictures, so you have my admiration! ; )
Keep em coming!
To: RinaseaofDs
Thank-you. The only part was I was off by 1 point, instead of 30-18, it was 29-17. But not bad overall.

Goes to show that with God truly all things are possible, including winning a Super Bowl Championship. While I still have my respect and support for the NE Patriots and the NYC Giants, I am adding a new team on the list, Da Colts of Indy.

BTW, how did you guys like Prince's halftime show? Did he get good reviews from Freepers? It was OK, aside from the sequence of doing the shadow dance behind the sheet, and using his "not-Prince" symbol as a phallus and devil's tail.
