FOX News Poll: Voters Most Comfortable With Rudy Giuliani as President

More voters say they would be comfortable with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as president than other top 2008 contenders, though majorities would also be comfortable with other leaders from both parties, according to the latest FOX News Poll. In addition, of all the 2008 hopefuls — announced or frequently mentioned as a possibility — voters want to hear more from one candidate specifically: Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

Opinion Dynamics Corporation conducted the national telephone poll of 900 registered voters for FOX News from January 30 to January 31. The poll has a 3-point error margin.

1. Pro-business environment
2. No-nonsense PC approach to policing/security
3. He's a tough SOB of a leader but still has a human side.
4. He practices politcs made on practicality, not ideology.
5. He told Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal to go shove his $10 million up his bhurkas.
6. He threw Yassir Arafat out of an event at Lincoln Center because he was a terrorist.
7. Giuliani does not roll with the god squad.

I believe the point of the entire debate is let's say Rudy wins the nomination. Because he can. Just like McCain can or even just like Hunter or Newt can. But let's say it is Rudy....

That's not the point of the debate. The point of the debate is that Rudy is a liberal, who holds views in oppoisition to the majority of the Republican Party Platform and offensive to the base, and he's attempting to be the Republican Party nominee and hijack the party in the process. We'll talk about demanding Republicans vote for a less acceptable candidate in the General Election after the Primary is over. Until then, conservatives need to work to keep the anti-Republican liberal out of the nomination.

I like the guy. I feel he is an honest and thoughtful individual. In my opinion he would make an excellent VP candidate, nothing more.

Except every poll has Rudy beating Hillary EVEN in NJ.

His likability factor doubles her and I don't see that changing.

And I think we are. But you didn't post a graph with what Newt says or Hunter or Romney. IIRC you posted a graph that had Guiliani, Clinton, the Democrats and the Republicans. People keep forgetting that Republicans aren't necessarily Conservatives.

That's what killed us in November. It is time to start discerning the two.

Actually, no, it isn't a "NEW YORK THING"; Chicago has a similar show, put on by the most prominent WHITE SHOE law firms and politicos. Other cities have them as well.
