The Left defiled the Vietnam War Memorial before it was ever built.

I will sign up and take time off work to fly there and stand there at the VietNam memorial in direct opposition to those traitorous punks whenever needed.

Anyone attempting to defile that sacred monument should be (reference to violence omitted to prevent deletion, per Free Republic regulations).

If true, it is the first sign that the lunatic left in American have become suicidal...

An act such as defiling the Wall, will absolutely lead to violent reaction from some pretty dangerous folks...
Bet on it.

On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the Pentagon in a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was "From Protest to Resistance," and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide mass movement. In the coming days and weeks, thousands of organizations and individuals will begin mobilizing for the upcoming March on the Pentagon. Organizing committees and transportation centers are being established to bring people to the March on the Pentagon. The March 17 demonstration will assemble at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (Constitution Gardens) at 12 noon in Washington, D.C.and march to the Pentagon.

A complete list of moonbats for your information. Do what you gotta do.

I wonder if the MSM will cover it if the anti-war nuts spray paint the wall? They didn't cover the spray painting last week. Had to hear about it from Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and other talk radio hosts.

This is somewhat ironic because the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was considered a leftist memorial at first because it seemed portray the soldiers as victims rather than heroes, there was no explanation of what the war was about and the statue of the three soldiers wasn't added until several years later.

The Park Police will not allow them to gather on the memorial grounds, but just in case - bookmarked.

BTW, Clinton only showed his face that one time in 93. It may have had something to do with the fact that approximately 200 of us, on command, did an about face and turned our backs on him as he started to speak. He never came back.

If we don't start calling out these disgusting lunatics and slapping them with charges of treason soon, I fear that this nation will find itself in a civil war. These maniacs have been finding out that they can get bolder and bolder every day with absolutely no repercussions. If they are not held accountable for their actions it WILL take the jump from despicable 'symbolic' acts to serious acts of violence and outright conflict. These people are not Americans any longer in my book, and haven't been for quite some time. When will this madness stop and who will have the ability (and the balls) to actually do something about it?

How dare they do this in such a solemn place. What's the name of that group that keeps the Phelps Klan in check at funerals?

Reply Mail from the National Park Service

Dear Sir:

I forwarded your E-mail attachment to the National Park Service employee and U.S. Park Police Sergeant who will be meeting with applicants for a public gathering permit for a large march/demonstration on 17 MAR 07. At this time, it is accurate to state that the National Park Service has issued no permit for any event starting at the Wall of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, on that date. As I mentioned on the telephone, there are special regulations, found at Title 36, United States Code of Federal Regulations, Section 7.97, which protect core Vietnam Veterans Memorial areas and resources from such activities.

As my Supervisor directed, I have requested the National Park Service employee responsible for reviewing any public gathering permit application, as described above, to respond to the concerns you expressed on the telephone this morning, via E-mail. Thank you for your time.

Robert M. Healy, Jr.

Park Ranger, National Mall and Memorial Parks

In other words the website is lying they have not yet gotten a permit, now is the time to fight with the pen we must get this information out asap....people need to clog their Congressmen and Senators and the National Park Service with E-mails and phone calls! They can't be allowed to be anywhere near any Memorial! Thats what the streets are for the gutter and the garbage. Please forward this far and wide! Also this doesn't mean we shouldn't get as many Vietnam Veterans as possible to DC I remember another time long ago when WE needed America to support us and they didn't....we need to support our troops and their mission!

Springfield, VA--"Don't touch the Vietnam Memorial Wall," said Tom Poulter, National Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH), speaking to potential anti-war demonstrators who plan on gathering there on March 17th.

"Fifty eight thousand men and boys fought and died so you could demonstrate  in peace.  To dishonor them by defacing the Wall is unthinkable," Poulter continued.

"We respect the right to demonstrate.  We do not respect the right to defile or deface sacred places like the Vietnam Wall.  Our members, many of whom were wounded in Vietnam, are outraged that protesters would even consider gathering near the Wall.  That is hallowed ground to us who shed our blood on the soils of Vietnam."

The MOPH commander was livid when he learned of the planned gathering near the Wall to begin an anti-war demonstration on March 17th.

"It would be best for those people to gather some other place.  In fact, there will be many Vietnam veterans guarding the Wall and I can assure you it will not be a peaceful situation should anti-war demonstrators try to damage or deface the memorial."

"There are those who will demonstrate who are not worthy enough to stand near the Wall, much less touch it."

The majority of the 40,000 members of the MOPH were wounded in Vietnam.
