On Saturday, January 27 I was with the hardy band of Freepers who rallied in support of our brave troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and around the world. We made sure that the moonbats of United For Peace and Justice didn't have the field to themselves.
As for the anti-war nuts, their parade was an absolute freakshow. It also got pretty nasty, with the moombats insulting the veterans among us in ways that were disgraceful. These people are traitors and should be viewed as such.
A complete report on the day's events, with photos, can be found on my blog, The Redhunter. I've also got some background informatin on UPJ and Code Pink, if you're not totally sure who they are. More photos are at my Photobucket account (I've got many more to upload so come back in a day or so).
Here are a few of the photos that I took that day:
First, Code Pink at the Navy Memorial
Here are some of the Freepers getting ready for the moonbats, who marched along Pennsylvania Avenue
And here are some of the Moonbats as they came along in front of us
Some stopped to argue with us. Arguing with a moonbat is a complete waste of time and will only frustrate you.
More at The Redhunter and Photobucket, see links above.
A HUGE Thank you to Kristinn and TgslTakoma for all their hard work in organizing the FReep and for hauling all of our stuff to DC and home again.
Thank you also to everyone who showed up to express support for our side, whether Freeper or not.
"Been there , done that, got the tee shirt"
I think he was suggesting our own rally, not a counter protest to Fonda, Jackson and company. I don't recall a rally in DC to support the War on Terror.
We've had about 5 in D.C. I lose count.
LOL
Last picture........guy in the middle wearing a flower and giving the "peace sign".........OMG....we were worried someone had cloned Dolly......but it's worse......they've cloned a 60s FLOWER CHILD.
Checkout the DC Chapter website then come back and tell us what "We" need to do.
Do you read this site or do you just play a freeper in your mind?
For public consumption.
Here are some videos that I shot:

"Oh my God, you're from the 60's!" -- Terrence Mannn (James Earl Jones) in "Field of Dreams"
Great answer JVB!
LOL
To use another movie reference, where is that old DeLorean when we need it?
......they've cloned a 60s FLOWER CHILD.
***
Yeah, and he's got that same stoned look.
When I saw the "Make Love Not War" sign I almost thought I was looking at a parody of a 1960s protest.
BR as we form up the circular firing ring I just want to say that I'm a little tired of the keyboard commando's offering advice to the DC Chapter.
BTW we had two people for Raliegh NC.
Yup.
And, when I saw the "reclaim peace" sign in the first photo, I thought......
"What the H-e-double-l? Where on earth has there ever been peace?"
This is not about showing up. The comments was they never saw a ralley. The DC Chapter posts before, after, and sometimes during each event. Many hours are spent just posting all this. If someone can't show up fine but there is not excuse to not read all the items we put here.
"Do you read this site or do you just play a freeper in your mind?"
What is your problem? I was down at the event on Saturday, and atended one other since I moved here 2 years ago. I haven't heard of any rallys just counter rallies. If you answered my question instead of acting hurt, we could make progress.
This is a good idea, Shawn Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, etc. all need to be involved. It should be a huge and gigantic gathering, one they could not ignore.
Okay. You two get your heads together, make peace not war. LOL. Sounds like razzle just needs to be on some ping lists. Maybe he/she doesn't have gime to read all the posts on FR. It does take lot of time. We sure don't want to throw out a good local recruit. There are too many of us who simply can't get there. We are there in spirit and count on you guys. Thank you.
