Chill on the attack on jveritas. He is a Patriot. He has translated more of the documents from Iraq than all the media combined has.

Oh get off your high horse. He doesn't have a clue what the Bush plan for health insurance really does, and you probably don't either. I'm getting off this threaad as it's chock full of Bush worshippers who can't see a guy who has sold them down the road on most conservative issues with the exception of a very few. All half or more of the people on this thread seem to be able to speak about is if someone is blinking, or standing or sitting, and there is just about zip analysis of what Bush is actually saying. Geez, this thread is totally uninformative, doesn't speak to the issues, is inane, and I can see why we Pubs are in such bad shape. I love Bush's themes tonite, nothing about the moral state of our culture, nothing about whacked out judges, nothing about rampant spending by Congress (of course Bush is complicit in this as he never vetoes anything), now I can hear him doing a "personal testimonial" feelgood rap, oh this is swell. Ugh, you guys can all fall for this claptrap; I want nothing to do with it; can barely look or listen to Bush anymore. Sad. I thought he would be great and he is at best mediocre. History may treat him worse.

Do any of us REALLY have a clue what the plan says? Is it in print and available for us to read already? I'd love to get more info on it before jumping on EITHER side: for or against.

You need to find a man/woman/batteries or whatever you need... or at least get anger management sessions. Didn't your parents teach you about common courtesy? Have you any home training?

It's a shame... all that knowledge gone to waste.

Sounds like your just upset because he doesn't fluff your cover and tuck you in. What about those of us that are interested in our family overseas fighting terrorist? If we take a major terrorist hit in the country again, we may not have to worry about the small stuff. Check Jveritas homepage before you respond. Take your time...

So much truth in such a short post!

The only thing you missed was Bush's conflation of "we" the government with "we" the people.

It is very important for presidents, especially Republican ones who claim to be conservative, to make it clear when they are talking about "we" the government, and "we" the people.

Bush doesn't seem to be able to keep this distinction clear in his head, which I believe is one of the main reasons for massive budget deficits.

Also, not to intrude a little fact into this thread, but most people affected by "No Child Left Behind" will tell you that it has massively increased federal control and decreased local control of schools rather than increasing local control as the president claims.

If Bush doesn't know how distorted his education program has become, will he know how distorted his future health care programs will be when they are finally enacted?

You must be one of those Clintonistas '98ers plants I been reading about on these forums.

How dare you show up Pres. Bush with your post.

On a serious note, State of the Unions are normally positive speeches sprinkled with a fair amount of bull manure. It's been a long (Winded) tradition.
