Scientists have unearthed the fossil of a young, two-headed marine reptile that lived when dinosaurs still walked the Earth.
"My first reaction when I saw that fissile was of the 'Oh my God!' type," said lead researcher Eric Buffetaut of the Center for National Scientific Research (CNRS) in Paris, France. "It's something you would not really expect to see, because the chances of such a freak being fossilized are so slim."

I actually saw a piece on National Geographic last week that featured a two headed snake. They followed it around. There was obvious disagreement between the heads as to where to go.
Must not be all that uncommon in the reptile world.

Must be Bush's fault. Mutants are because of pollution, pollution is only because of republicans, especially Boosh!
Clearly Bush has a time machine to go back and pollute the past.

Wasn't Guidra a pitcher for the Yankees?
Seriously though, the fossil was found in the same
area as the feathered dinosaur fossils, but weren't a few
of those fossils fakes??
Could the fossil they found be representative of a group
of reptiles that flourished on the earth for a short
period and then died out, and left no representative offspring?
Or is it a one-shot mutant?
How would a paleontologist know for sure?
