Nope. I'm Bushed.

Burned twice, not too eager to light the match a third time.

Which is a damned shame, because I always felt that Jeb had the brains of the family.

The Bush family have always called Jeb "the smart one" and figured he'd be president.

Personally, I'm tired of the Kennedy's, Clinton's, Gores and the Bush family types who have become rich off of their associations grown from their "public service".

All I know about him is that he knows how to take care of his people during natural disasters instead of blaming the feds.

As a Floridian for Jeb's entire candidacy, I think he was one of the best governors in this country.

Of course, according to certain FReepers, the reason he shouldn't run is because his wife is *gasp* Mexican.

Please show any posts where Freepers have said that.

Dittoes from this Floridian.

Now he should run off to the private sector and make something of himself.

Who is Spengler? Whoever he is, he's delusional. Not just his prediction of ANOTHER Bush in '08, but his scenario about Russia and China on Iran. The sides have already been chosen and we have VERY few allies. (Not that we won't have a bunch in old Europe when they start screaming for us to come and help them IF we're not gone by then.)

The Bushes are all about not losing our hemisphere. They are very traditional in their views, at least GWB has been. He's a freaking clone of Theodore Roosevelt and by the way he behaves I would have to say Bush looks up to Teddy in a big way. If not losing our hemisphere means not turning our back on the Castillians in Mexico City, so be it. They need to be prodded to continue to privatize and engage in some anti-trust work to help break up family monopolies but does anyone doubt Mexico is better off with our help than without?

The article itself is, frankly said, bullcrap.

About Jeb Bush`s prospects as President...
I`d saz highly unlikely, but if he is the candidate I`d vote for him. Certainly better than McCain, or Giuliani.

This is what I was alluding to in my post. You go ahead and piss off the Mexicans and that's one less ally in a shrinking pool. I think we better get off our high horse right here. I would like to see the USA expanded to include new territories personally. If you aren't expanding, your receding. There is no stasis.

That doesn't mean I can't send the piece to my Bush-hating liberal Hollywood pals as a Happy New Year greeting!

No way.

Enough with the family dynasties --- including Bush and Clinton.

Out of 200 million adults, surely we can find some new blood every 4-8 years.

If Hillary does win, we will have had a quarter century of of Bush-Clinton White House. That is detrimental to our form of government.

It's not that the Bush family has no "vision", but rather that Jeb ended up with all of these genes. "Vision" was his thing as governor. No one has tried harder anywhere to improve the public schools. Worked hard to streamline state government. A rare politician that actually had original ideas. It's a shame his political career will probably end. The wrong Bush is in the White House.

The Bushes are all about not losing our hemisphere.

Hmmm, another item on the long list of things W is failing miserably at, as the hemisphere is increasingly turning hostile to us.
