The Drop Broke Saddam's neck killing him instantly. At the executions following the Nuremberg Trials others were not so lucky.

I always pray for God's protection of our troops. But I don't think there will be any lasting bad reaction. Despite what the media says, the vast majority of Iraqis are thrilled about this. It's another step towards normality for them.
Most Sunnis despised Saddam, too. The media twists all of that way out of proportion. The only Sunnis who will be disappointed are those who were in close favor with Saddam. And they've been stirring it up for three and a half years now.

Was he hooded after the Iraqui people got to see him on TV being led to the gallows? If not how will they be convinced that a hooded man was Saddam?
