Brit fans call it quits
Britney Spears is one celeb who we're sure can't wait for the new year because 2006 has been pretty hard on the former pop idol turned tabloid disaster. Now even hardcore Brit fans are turning their back on the hard partying mama. It seem the website WorldofBritney.com is shutting down after 6 years of loyal Britney fanage. The cause of the shutdown accordingto site creator Reuben Garay is Britney's wild behaviorand loss of respectibility. "As Britney keeps losing her identity and credibility within fans and industry people, so is [World of Britney]," writes Garay. "I believe Britney is unfortunately done (for me at least). No matter what anyone thinks or how they may disagree, it's very hard to maintain the respect needed to keep things going."
This latest diss comes only days after we reported that Brit's second publicist in 3 mothns quit. Spears had been without a personal publicist since October, after parting ways with Leslie Sloane Zelnick. In the meantime, Sonia Muckle, a publicist at Spears' label Jive Records, had been handling her less-than-favorable recent press coverage.
Now Muckle has had enough and is moving on and leaving Jive to start her own marketing and promotions company. Muckle insists her departure had nothing to do with the pop star's recent antics, which include spending numerous nights on the town with Paris Hilton and being photographed without underwear.
Justin Timberlake is thanking his lucky stars Brit cheated on him or he could have been her baby daddy, holding her hair back at the end of the night and lighting her cigarettes. Goodluck in '07 Brit.
