My God There is absolutely no limit to the depths the main stream media witll stoop:

I believe the celebration will be infectious and the Mainstream media will be at odds to explain it. The only downside of Saddam's execution is it takes away the reverence of the honors of the burial of President Gerald Ford.

I could not help but wonder why they (the males) were not in one or the other U.S. Military uniforms and in Iraq helping to free their own people.

Simple. Because they do not have the fortitude to take care of their own country and liberties. As long as we put their socks on, they will never buck up and do for themselves. I would love to be proved wrong.

Reports: Saddam executed in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Saddam Hussein has been hanged, state-run television reported Saturday. "Criminal Saddam was hanged to death," state-run Iraqiya television said in an announcement. The station played patriotic music and showed images of national monuments and other landmarks.

A U.S. judge on Friday refused to stop Saddam's execution, rejecting a last-minute court challenge.

U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly said U.S. courts do not have jurisdiction to interfere in another country's judicial process. The ruling can be appealed, but it was issued within an hour of the time Iraqi officials said they expected the execution to be carried out.

Saddam and others were convicted of murder in the killings of 148 Shiite Muslims from an Iraqi town where assassins tried to kill Saddam in 1982.

Also to be hanged were Saddam's half-brother Barzan Ibrahim and Awad Hamed al-Bandar, the former chief justice of the Revolutionary Court, the adviser said.

Rats In Bunker

The Pentagon said Wednesday that an old bunker used by Saddam has become infested with rats.

Civilians on a U.S. base near Baghdad reported they had seen increasing numbers of rodents in the area surrounding a massive, two-level network of tunnels and rooms estimated to be able to support upwards of 100 people for several months.

The bunker included meeting rooms, a kitchen, huge underground generators, restrooms, showers, private living quarters and rats -- lots and lots of rats.

"We saw some rats around the entrance when we walked up with our lights," said Army Lt. Col. Van Sherwood, a Gainesville, Fla.

Sherwood said American Special Forces troops had taken over the bunker and used it for operations and storage until January 2006. When they left, they left behind pallets of military food rations and water.

The rats had moved in when the American soldiers left and enjoyed what one U.S. military spokesman called "a secure nesting area with a high-calorie, high-protein food source and water."

Sherwood said his unit put down poison and then returned to haul away the carcasses "by the hundreds."

Remember in Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood"? One of the criminals to be hung was worried he'd poop his pants. The warden or whatever said not to worry, everybody who gets hanged does that.
