President Bush held a news conference this morning in the Indian Treaty Room at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. Click HERE for a complete transcript.
Later, the president signed The Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006, a bill that will extend tax relief to millions of American families and small businesses and add momentum to a growing economy. Click HERE for a complete transcript of the presidents remarks.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with Andrew Natsios, U.S. special envoy to Sudan and Darfur, at the State Department.
And Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, General Peter Pace made a surprise visit to Baghdad where they met with troops and commanders to discuss future options in Iraq.

A condo is usually an apartment, but can be a regular house, where you own the unit, but pay into a common fund for the upkeep of the grounds, pool, whatever. Over here, 1st time buyers, empty-nesters, or people who travel a lot and don't want to deal w/exterior upkeep often choose a condo.
I will be staying in an apartment condo until my stuff comes, but I am renting a townhouse condo in Iowa (not much front yard, but a nice backyard). I'm tired of apartments and want some space.

We moved last December, not so far but still, a move. It was like you are talking about this year. It took weeks to get settled, and I had three weeks off work. We moved into a new house and were lacking light fixtures so it made it hard to get things together. Next year will be better. I hope you have a safe move, and find some comforts while you wait.
I'm really enjoying my new home this year.

I know. Therein lies the problem. I only make it when it's being shared in a group. I want no leftovers in my house. I LOVE this cake. On the other hand, I always regret no leftovers. It's a lose-lose.
When I take it to my Christmas Eve party, I always leave the remainders with the hostess, then hate her for accepting my cake - LOL.
Lose, lose.

I know the Christmas red is very red LOL
It was quite strange because the people in the chemist are Asian and I think Buddhist or Hindu though of course have loads of Christmas bits for sell.
I explained the meaning of the cake to them and he was very respectful and said that it makes the cake very special when it has such a meaning to it. This to me puts to bed the lie that we should say Seasons Greetings, Happy Holidays or whatever to be inclusive - we should say it loud and proud Happy Christmas as those of other cultures I feel respect us when we show conviction but are respectful to them.

I MUST get me to the sewing machine for awhile. Hugs and happy thoughts to you all! Will miss you .. keep the trolls jumping and twitching, and try to ping me on the BIG stuff. I'm going to go into the netherworld of NO internet, seconds of Fox News at night, and NO FR!!! I know I'll sneak onto my Sis's computer, when the kids aren't on it, but it'll be SO briefly. I can already feel the withdrawal pangs .. LOL.

When I take it to my Christmas Eve party, I always leave the remainders with the hostess, then hate her for accepting my cake - LOL. FOTFLOL! That very thought just crossed my mind.... I am sitting here thinking that the cake turned out so darn good, that maybe I would bake another for the New Year's Party and then I remembered that we always leave the left overs with the hostess....LOL.

I was going insane. So was I, and as you know, it was a short trip!
After another panic call to a politically savy friend, she told me I simply must listen to Rush and Sean! Which of course I did. They are all that got me through election day!!! I did find FR around that time, but had limited connection availability at the time.
