Now owning a particular canine breed is a marker of deviant behavior.

What happened to freedom?

A foul breed owned by a lot of foul people - imagine that. Joseph Wambaugh has written a new police novel. He describes something called "pit bull polo" played in LA. It's LOL stuff if you know how many of these dogs are four-legged filth...

Traffic violations are now criminal? Would be nice if they gave specific numbers.

Pit bull owners more likely to be criminals

What about dobermans? My mom was bit by one about 12 years ago.

Couldn't this study be considered "PROFILING?"

"""had at least one brush with the law, from traffic citations to serious criminal convictions."""

Traffic citations?

With that broad of brush, you've pretty much got everyone covered.

I can't believe that only one percent of poodle owners have had traffic violations. I rarely see pit bulls sitting on the driver's laps.

Well this is just what we need.

Another bogus 'study' written with a particular agenda in mind from the beginning. Then, completely unsuprisingly, the cooked up 'data' supports the already decided upon 'conclusions'.

Equally unsuprising is the number of low IQ mouth breathing cretins who fall for this swill being passed off as 'science'.

If this study is touted and its conclusion accepted by the MSM (deadmen walking) then why not Dr. John R. Lott, Jr. More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws (U Chicago, 1998, Chicago)?

2 Days in row, 2 separate pit bull attacks in the same town of Boca Raton, FL happened last week. Pit BUlls and Rotties--NO MATTER HOW THEY WERE BROUGHT UP....cannot be trusted...ever. They are prone to "SNAPPING". It's something like working for the post office. :>

Yup, my husband and I, registered Republicans with good jobs, who are devout Christians and actually contribute to society are criminals. Neither of us have ever been arrested or even received a traffic ticket.

See my home page for the salviating, rip-your-throat open Patches who WILL kill you if you look at her wrong. (Do I have to indicate that I'm being sarcastic here, people?)

Well behaved pit bulls, just like any other dog, deserve to be rescued and given a good home. Ours was attacked by another dog and left to die. When we got her, she became part of our family. My mom was terrified that we had a pit bull in our home, because of all the stories you hear. Then she met ours, and she's no longer afraid.
