Legendary University of Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler has died. He collapsed Friday morning at Channel 7s Broadcast House as he prepared to tape the Big Ten Ticket show.
Schemechler passed away at Providence Hospital in Southfield. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics Friday morning.
The former coach had 2 major heart attacks and 2 quadruple bypass surgeries.
Just 2 weeks ago, he had a pacemaker implanted.
Awesome site! Thanks!
Good post.
God Bless Bo's family.
GO BUCKS!

May Coach Bo rest in peace.
Thoughts and prayers to his family.
From the Mayaimi tribe that used to live around Lake Okeechobee.....
Who knows if people confused them with the Miami tribe and that's how the spelling got changed or what....
Untimely death and especially on this weekend. Prayers to his family. RIP coach.
This is just spooky.
I was in the Bus for a Michigan game once. It may be in good fun for most of the year, but not on game day.
Enjoy the game from your Skybox, Bo. And if it doesn't end well for your boys, I don't think you're allowed to be upset where you are.
If Michigan loses, Bo will be upset wherever he is. That's Bo.
What a sad, sad day. Bo was a great man, right in so many ways, including his politics.
Earlier in the week I had read that he said he really couldn't deal with the stairs at the stadium and wouldn't be going. Today I heard that he had bought a new 50" plasma to watch...may he have now the perfect seat.
Democrats call the timing suspicious...
And coached under Woody Hayes at OHIO STATE in OHIO.
Bo is best remembered for coaching at MICHIGAN. ;-)
Go Blue, thanks for the memories, Bo!
No, it's the fight song from the team that plays under the golden dome. Just a little joke.
Isn't that the truth. Michigan Stadium seating leaves a lot to be desired. I was there (as an OSU fan) at Earle Bruce's last game (we won BTW). My most vivid memory is how your knees were literally in the back of the head of the person in front of you. And I pity those who are "horizontally challenged".
Bo was a class act. I remember him talking in Ohio Stadium when Woody died. May he rest in peace and watch the game with Woody!
That said, Go Bucks! SteamShovel
It's Rove's doing I tell ya.
Go Bucks!
RIP
Thanks for making Michigan a tough college footbal team.
