Yeah... that's it. We are the last of the literate actually having read the Constitution and thinking it's a pretty good idea to follow it...

Yeah that is true and I still can't decide if his 8 years were for the better because of that or not
I think not
It just proved how the MSM jerked the voters around again
THe recession was officially over in MAY 92 but you never heard that from the MSM
Electorate has NEVER been really informed or politically astute but in the distant past the radio and press was represented on both sides
Now it is a momopoly ( due to the Marxist takeover of our colleges)worse than PRAVDA

Wow... either your tinfoil is too tight, or I haven't been getting my Communist Party check from Soros.
Soros, is secretly funding a group who if they ever gained power would ideologically be for trying him on treason charges and shooting him...
It's brilliant... Rove must be behind it...

The GOP lost the middle - centrists, independents and libertarians.
Yeah they did but it was the MSM that was the main reason plus the fact voters generally really don't know what their votes really mean in a national election Ask them about committee chairs etc and you would get a blank stare

I vote for the guy with the water hose, Your house is on fire. The Dems want to pour gasoline on it, the RINO's merely want to pour cooking oil. The only one standing around with a hose is the libertarian you won't associate with.
What do you do...

Libertarians are Liberals who don't like taxes, like gay marriage and want to legalize drugs and prostitution. They also want no borders and a wimpy military. They are Liberaltarians.

In one closely watched Congressional race (Sodrel v Hill, IN-9) and two critical Senate races (Missouri and Montana), the Republican candidate was defeated by fewer votes than the Libertarian candidate received.Three good conservatives go down.
Thanks libertarians.
To: Dead Corpse
No. We point out the hypocrisy of RINO's.In the three races mentioned in this article, the Republicans who lost had good conservative voting records.

Yeah right all .001% of you are really going to take us back to 1790
Dream on
WE are really going to get more conservative judges in the federal courts and on the Supreme court defending the Constitution with the dems controlling the Judiciary committee
Brilliant plan

try googling Soro's & Libertarian ... you'll find lots of stuff .. especially with regards to the drug war
also check out this thread ..
And please get past the part about whether Giuliani could win or not ... that's not my point ... actually read the comment by the DNC
They played the morals and value card before the election to draw votes and then let conservatives rip the pubbies apart .. and they are hoping to do it again in 08
DNC Statement on Giuliani's Potential Presidential Bid
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1738649/posts
(snip)
"It's unclear whether or not Rudy Giuliani will be able to just 'explain away' the fact that he's consistently taken positions that are completely opposite to the conservative Republican base on issues they hold near and dear," said Democratic National Committee Communications Director Karen Finney

As a libertarian leaning conservative, I don't think it's that they themselves are socially liberal. We just want the government to butt out of most social issues. Our own morals, not those imposed by the government, should dictate our behavior (generally).
I do enjoy seeing the still close-minded name calling though. It's always good for a chuckle.
To: uncbob
Socially liberal, I've always felt Libertarians fit a little better with the Democratic Party than with the Republicans. They've only arrived in the Republican Party because of their fiscal conservatism. Now they can't decide where they want to go although I am sure many Republicans would be quite willing to tell them. Lost boys they are.

Good for the libertarians like me. (Though I hate abortion. It's a life, not a "choice")
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I am a Libertarian and I oppose abortion. If life begins at conception, then that life has a fundamental right to life. In our Declaration of Independence, it is stated that we hold this truth to be self evident.
As a Libertarian I would support an abortion, only in the case where the mother's health or life is ***seriously*** endangered.

If they took out the Rino's .. that would make more sense
Instead they took out the good conservatives that we needed

Maybe if the GOP wasn't hell bent on abandoning the Constitution, emulating Democrats, and electing RINO's... we wouldn't need to vote Libertarian. Bullseye!

Then get your house in order and we might come back.

Libertarians would accomplish more if they were not a political party, but were instead organized like the AARP or NRA.
