Best wishes to American Jews and any interests they have in protecting the State of Israel while the Democrats hold power in the Congress.

Anybody suppose the MSM will now begin to take a look at the anti-semitism in the Defeatocratic Party?

Nah.

We deserve what we vote for. Sadly we get stuck with what THEY voted for.

Hard to believe so many people voted for a non-existent plan, anti-American policies, and all the rest of it.

Either there are a lot of people out there who don't have a clue, or the election was stolen.

Time for a DU-type uprising - I demand recounts!

Or else we can sit back and watch the fun unfold and hope that 2 years of it will wake folks up -

**Thankfully, we can expect continued bi-partisan support for Israel in the 110th Congress. But there is a small cadre of 40-50 House Members (excuse me, Mr. Expert, but how is a “cadre of 40-50 House members, equaling near 10% of the House, “small” Jsk) who cannot be considered friendly, all Democrats except for half a dozen. There are also several Senators who are problematic. This all means we have our work cut out for us in the ’08 election cycle – which is already shaping up.**

First They Came for the Jews

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.
Pastor Martin Niemöller

Community and individuality are not opposites. People cannot survive on their own. When the odds are stacked against you, you must rally with the oppressed and hated.

When a growing oppressive regime is taking hold, you must act, otherwise you will soon face your enemy alone and hopeless.

Strength of community is a strength as much as individualism, as long you are willing to face weaknesses in your own community. Ignoring slacking values will mean that you will be rallied against by those you oppress.

Niemöller affirms we must rally against unhealthy organized regimes. We must also stay vigilant with those that appear to be good natured, as all organisation attracts corruption. Niemöller also warns us that if it is you who are corrupt, then you will face a stronger combined force of foe!

This reminds me of what Michael Medved said on Friday. He was at a Pro-life conference in Toledo, Ohio earlier in the week. I guess one of the people at the conference (maybe a Catholic) came up to him and said something to the affect--you must be pretty happy that a lot of your people, or maybe he/she even said tribe, got into office on Tuesday. He said on his show that he has nothing in common with Jews on the left. He has much more in common with conservative Christians than leftist Jews.

The majority of American Jews are extremely liberal by nature. They historically have voted Democratic for decades. They have long dominated the national ACLU and most state ACLU organizations (and support the "rights" of Islamic terrorists in the U.S.

To them liberal "values" (a term I use loosely) is more important that the security of Israel or the United States. They tend to vote as solidly Democratic as African_Americans.

It will be much easier to recruit blacks into the conservative and Republican ranks (if we can get them to stop listening to the Jesse Jacksons). Many middle class blacks share our values ranging from the need for national security to the failure of "publik edjewkashun."

It is possible to get them to make that "leap of faith" if people like A.C. Watts and Michael Steele carry the message.

Heres why most "jews" vote left

Imagine if during the Irish potato famine, only people like Rosie O'donnel and Sinead Oconnor or the ILGO types came to America.

Then imagine the Brits killing off the remainder who stayed in Ireland- obviously given the first set of emigrants, good Catholic Irish would be largely victimized. Moreover imagine that the American Irish did not do anything to save their brethren.
The few survivors make their way to America and find themselves in a minority where the majority of Irish are not like Honey Fitz but are like Rosie Odonell. They would struggle with starting up Catholic schools etc..

This is the Jewish situation, where the Fiddler on the roof generation were the least Jewish Jews of Eastern Europe(and were the minority there) , didn't care about the Holocaust and suddenly hard core Jewish survivors show up- and get screwed by the fiddlers institutions-i.e. ACLU ,ADL.

The Orthodox Jewish Jews are the core of the Reps voters and if it weren't for the Holocaust would be the majority in the world and wouldn't be getting buggered all the time by abortion loving liberals.

Really?
ALL American Jews?
Gee. How did you get to know so many American Jews?
I have been Jewish and American for a long time and I don't know ALL American Jews.

You must travel in different circles than I do.
There are many American Jews that are supporters of the Democrat party, and are liberals.
There are many that do not.
If you are confining your comments to specific American Jews, that is just fine and supportable.
A wide ranging generalization is both incorrect and
diminishes the point that you are trying to make.

The author forgets that it is hard to proclaim the GOP as the champion of Israel when this Administration employs Hamas Spokesperson Condi Rice, who said creating a Pali terror state was "America's greatest legacy". Perhaps if Bush had fired this incompetent Arab stooge Jews would have felt a bit better.

As a Jew, I cannot tell you how aggravating it is to get to a family get-together as the only Republican and have your family spout MSM talking points at you.

Blacks are blindly Democratic, but many are poor and not well educated. What excuse do my fellow Jews have, especially given the growing Jew-hatred among the Dems?

I think it's pretty well established that there is a strong anti-Israel tendency among liberal Jews.

In this election, 87% of the Jewish vote went to Democrats, the worst showing for the GOP since the 64 election.

Lets cut the garbage already.

There will be some very powerful Democrat Chairman who are unfriendly to Israel. On the other hand, as wrong as she is on so many issues, Palosi will be the most Pro-Israel Speaker in history.

Israel has nothing to fear from the Congress in the next two years.

Israel has much to fear from the Bush/Rice/Baker Arabist Administration on it's path to America's greatest legacy.

Liberalism punishes US allies and placates the US's enemies. It is a world outlook that is incapable of discerning friend from foe, and attributes a Manichean view to those who can. Pray for Israel because as a friend of ours it will be in dire danger with the Liberal smart set demanding it make concessions. Golan Heights next. Why not give them to Assad as an act of friendship and trust? Forget about all those missiles and rockets passing through his country on their way to Lebanon to kill Jews. Why not be show him you're big enough get over ancient quarrels? Tolerance for Iranian nukes. Why not? Their president is just joking, like Borat. Who knows where the smart set of the Democratic Party will take us?

"Four staunch Senate supporters of Israel lost their re-election contests – Rick Santorum (PA), Mike DeWine (OH), Jim Talent (MO) and George Allen (VA). Allen’s replacement, Jim Webb, who has recently advocated a “regional approach” in the Middle East, is raising concern."
