Charlie Rangel opens his mouth...and mocks the South: (hat tip: reader CRB)
Its not just committees our influence within the House Democratic caucus will grow enormously, Mr. Rangel said in an interview.
To that end, he sketched out an expansive federal agenda: Teaming up with Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg on gun control, passing new tax incentives for urban job programs, and redirecting federal money to New York in return for the outsize tax collections that the federal government makes here.
Mississippi gets more than their fair share back in federal money, but who the hell wants to live in Mississippi? Mr. Rangel said.
Howdy neighbor! Shelby County...looking at Tipton County! LOL
Wow! That must be some living. Down here in the boonies, you can get a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, formal dining room, custom kitchen, bonus room & 3 car garage on 4 acres with NO STATE INCOME TAX for a measly $300K. I'm so jealous of the 2 bedroom Harlem folks paying a million bux.
It's a shame that certain members of our Congress and Senate can't appreciate the differences in OUR country as much as they appreciate different regions in, say, France for instance.
Bingo!
As I've said many times before -- when I am crowned king it will be mandatory for all kids upon graduation from high school to begin walking east or west until they hit water. They will then be made to walk north and south until they have covered the entire country. Along the way, they will be made to work on farms and in offices, eat in cafes and four star restaurants, see everything and talk to everyone.
Hmmm. Catfish sushi. Maybe a big dollop of Wasabi might make it palatable.;o)
On MS Day in NYC I listened to two guys debate the merits of "free range" versus "farm raised" catfish. One of the guys, a stock broker, had a container of "free range" fedex'ed up for the event.
Catfish sushi isn't served with wasabi. It's served with tabasco.
I think we saw that Hunyndai plant when we drove through AL a couple of weeks ago.
Well hell, if it ain't served with wasabi, it ain't sushi! They'll just have to come up with some other name for it! ;o)
That probably didn't come out right.
We see it all the time in the inter-mountain West -- Californicators and grunge-monkeys from the NW coast move here, having soiled their own nests. And then they proceed to soil ours.
Take a look at some of the races we lost in this region -- it sure ain't that the people of the inter-mountain West are changing.
There are some conservative refugees who come and help out, but not nearly enough.
Hmm? My Scotch-Irish ancestors arrived in North Carolina a good 200+ years before Ellis Island opened.
They sell sushi at gas stations in Memphis. If it's not wrapped in seaweed, though, you are looking at bait. Be careful.
I dunno, Charlie. Try following this guy around on the campaign trail? Maybe he'll know:
Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Mississippi)
That probably didn't come out right.
Probably not. But the smarter we are the better off we are.
now wasn't he one of them in Washington that got all upset about LA and how mean Republicans are letting this happen after Katrina and now he is making a comment about Mississippi in a negative way God help us in the next two years
sho'nuff
I already did:
To: Dick Bachert
Here is the site where that Exxon sign was made:

You'll also find out that the northern slave traders never had to give back a dime of their profits. They didn't stop trading until the very end and then got to claim a moral victory with the war's end.
Gun Control worked so well in 1994
Go for it Charlie!
