“It’s not just committees — our influence within the House Democratic caucus will grow enormously,” Mr. Rangel said in an interview.
To that end, he sketched out an expansive federal agenda: Teaming up with Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg on gun control, passing new tax incentives for urban job programs, and redirecting federal money to New York in return for the outsize tax collections that the federal government makes here.
“Mississippi gets more than their fair share back in federal money, but who the hell wants to live in Mississippi?” Mr. Rangel said.

It isn't whitey moving back into those $2 mil condos and renovated brownstones. It's a lot of black middle class as well. Also a mixed bag of the unexpected, like surgeons and dentists from Africa etc. etc.
Not too many people complaining -- the old folks moving out get to retire in style. $2 million is a good-sized nest egg for a guy who worked as a bus driver his whole life.

I emailed Drudge the comment, he got it up now! (Won't take credit because I'm not sure), but we've GOT to circumvent the MSM and go directly to the people via the Internet and Talk Radio. Drudge is great because of the number of hits his site receives.
I think circumventing the MSM should continue to be of paramount importance to the conservative movement. If it weren't for the media, the dems would NEVER win elections. NEVER.

I liked Vicksburg. Quiet town on the banks of the Missouri River. Lots of history. Probably should have stayed there.
Somebody needs to tell Rangel that Mississippians can hold grudges. Vicksburg fell on July 4, 1863 and the town didn't celebrate the 4th again until 1945.
