We do indeed live in interesting times.
I believe our resolve is about to be tested like it's never been tested before and I pray we're up for it.
The Democrats and the leftist media see this election as a mandate against the president and the war. They are about to pull out all the stops in their mission to totally demoralize the American people. If they succeed to the point we pull out of Iraq before the Iraqis are strong enough to defend themselves, I'm afraid it'll be the Killing Fields all over again. Only this time much much worse and much closer to home.
Praying we have the national resolve to resist the enemy within. Praying we maintain the will to continue the fight against the global jihadists. Our very right to survive as a nation and a free people depends on it.
Our president and our troops are going to need our prayers and support now more than ever.
God willing, America will survive!
McCain wont win the nomination, and i dont think hillary will either. if you havent noticed no one buys her act outside of nyc. everyone knows shes faking it. the dems will be afraid to pick her cuz shes so hated...they;ll be wanting someone they think can win and thats not hillary. similar to newt on our side in that regard. the negatives are too high. jmo.
Bump this to the top!
Hugh Hewitt made a similar comment last night. He says that McCain, Lindsey Graham, and their Gang of 14 antics are at least partly to blame for the loss of the Senate. Frist is probably more to blame for letting McCain clown around the way he did. I hope that the next Republican Majority Leader is taking note. Those who refuse to lead get lead.
...and you are right in saying that Hillary(!) is probably out of the running. She has high negatives that can only get worse. The Moonbats will hate her for not being radical enough and the rest of the electorate will hate her for being too radical. The Moonbats might have been more supportive if the Dems hadn't gained their slim majority.
McCain isnt well liked in the grass roots. He aint gonna win. The ppl who want him to win are ppl we dont even like--the MSNBC crowd. Ppl need to get a grip. How many GOP primaries has he ever won?? Enuff said.
We have our share of loons on our side, but their whole base is off their meds. Pelosi and Reid are damned if they do, damned if they don't
No he isn't. And if he gets his fair share of the blame for that rudderless GOP Senate, then he'll be liked even less.
his only hope would be a 3rd party 'centrist' ticket.
I bash MA, CT, RI, and VT. If you bothered to read my posts you would see that I am one of the few on here that continues to back Olympia Snowe and Collins because I don't think we can elect anyone more conservative in Maine. I know that Snowe and Collins stand with our military which is important to me.
I was bashing the comment that it was about the Iraq war from someone that hasn't a clue about flyover country and why some of the Reps didn't get reelected. I am from Ohio originally. I detest MA with a passion and believe NH has suffered from the MA people moving north because of taxes.
Remember I support Snowe and Collins along with the NH Senators. Heck I even supported Chaffee by saying he wouldn't jump to the Dims.
You have just admitted what plays well in New England doesn't play well in the south and vice versa which is something I have been saying on here for a long time.
I will continue to bash the liberals in New England but I will also continue to support the two women from Maine, but then people in Maine detest those from MA that have moved into southern Maine. I should have left out Maine and NH, but I stand by my statement for the rest of New England as being way too liberal not moderate but downright liberal to elect socialist in VT and send Kennedy back to the Senate.
Yes. Expect that kind of tantrum out of him.
Two big differences of late.
Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito.
We won't see that repeated in the near future.
We're lucky to have gotten two conservatives. The next few judges will have to be moderates at best...
Hopefully very, very, very old ones!
How can he desert us on immigration when he has never been with us on immigration?
He has been pro-illegal immigrant since day one and has been doing everything he can to make their lives as cushy as possible and for more and more and more of them to flood across our boarders.
Meaning now that the Rats are in control, we don't have to worry about those damn conservatives preventing us from opening the floodgates of illegal immigration!
So-what!?!?! Let our enemies be scattered! The Sunnis had so many chances to cooperate, they've blown it again and again. They've wasted and taken the precious blood of our fighting men. Let them suffer under the Shiites.
BUMP!!!!
We won't even get Alberto Gonazales.
I have said this until I am sure you are all sick of it, but the only reason the people are against the war is because of the lies of the leftist media. They are stupid enough to believe anything the MSM says. If they only knew the real truth this would not be happening.
This should be a call for names, ideas, plan of action and positive reinforcement of values for 2008. Many races were very close and the democrats did their homework well to run candidates who could win while republicans blew several areas that should have been ours for the taking. Let's not make those mistakes again!
PS - here are some of my suggestions for the next group of candidates: Lynn Cheney (pres), Rick Santorum (VP), Michael Steele (VP), Marc Racicot (senator), JC Watts (VP), Tom Coburn (pres), Ted Olson (SC), Mark Stein (SC), Hugh Hewitt (senate), Jay Sekulow (SC), Sean Hannity (senate), Tony Snow (senate), Patricia Heaton (Rep), Kelsey Grammar (Senate CA), Luis Gonzales (rep - AZ), David Robinson (Senator - TX)
