Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
And these numbers are without three heavily GOP counties reporting because people are still voting.
You won't like the answer. In 2008 the GOP has to defend 22 Senate seats and the RATS only 12. This is because we did so well in the 2002 cycle. Frankly, I'm glad that it will be a presidential year.
So what are WE going to be doing for the next two years? LOL.
No.
The GOP House was strong on illegal immigration. The GOP House is being defeated tonight.
I'll let you all in on a little secret. GW would have lost last election if it weren't for the war. His adminstration botched that over time. His tax cuts were very good. Other than that NADA for a true conservative. So tomorrow we can hear RUSH talking with half of his brain in limbo telling us that this is a conservative nation. And we will see how many of these elected pols from this corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" will set in motion the whole amnesty that will destroy a nation w/o any revolution. Adios suckers.
Somebody else just said a second ago we would hold Foley's seat.
MSNBC is projecting a net 29-seat shift toward the Dems.
You think the GOP lost some seats tonight because of a few posters on FR? What planet do you live on?
The GOP lost some seats tonight because their policies on some issues depressed their traditional mid-term voting base.
The GOP didn't have to do it, but they did for some unknown reason.
Those who were proclaiming that Iraq is another Vietnam created the very conditions whereby this became possible. This is more then self-fulfilling prophecy. They wanted America to lose all along.
No he's not. MSM is the network news and major newspapers and magazines. AM radio is not mainstream.
I don't think you'll have to pay out that $500 to anyone.
All our predictions turned out to be overly optimistic.
More than 60k votes - the % is the % of precincts, not votes. This will be VERY tight - if not flip - by the end of the night. I'll be much happier when Richmond City reports.
Santorum 4 PREZ
Really? Because as far as I can tell the Dems mostly winning are pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-borders, etc...all conservative issues. Or they said they were anyway.
Seems to me what the GOP needs to learn is that the "moderates" aren't as trustworthy as the conservatives, and that when you run as a conservative and govern as a conservative you'll win. If you don't, the Dems will run as conservatives and take away Independents while the "moderates" will demonstrate NO loyalty whatsoever.
Well it was worse during the clintonista years...dems controlled all 3 branches.
Thank God for rush for keeping us sane.
I hate to sound so negative, but MO has St. Louis and KC not reported yet, she may very well win... I'd bet it's the same for Ford in TN
Well now that it looks like they'll be in the majority party, do you think they'll still vote for Patriot Act type bills?
Fox is reporting that Talent is in big trouble in MO, smaller than expected numbers in red areas and no numbers from St. Louis.
Sorry Dolphy, if you thought I was limiting the categories. While I agree that some good things did get done, that's like saying we mowed the lawn and cleaned out the garage, while the water pipes leaked in the house and rotted out the floor.
