The Valley is going to have to pull very hard on this one

Check the votes in the Drake/Kellam race, that's mostly Virginia Beach and Eastern shore.

Here's how it is right now:

P J Kellam Democratic 16,992 49.89%
T D Drake Republican 16,981 49.86%

That's what I thought (from observations on the I-81 corridor when I was there last summer; the entire I-81 corridor seems to be more conservative than the states it passes through as a whole - from Knoxville to the Canadian border and beyond)
