From a reader:
Jonah,
I voted this morning in Colorado's 5th district at a polling center about 5 miles from the New Life Church where Ted Haggard used to preach. The MSM has tried to portray conservatives and especially evangelicals in the district as being so demoralized they wouldn't bother voting. I arrived at my polling place 15 minutes before it opened and the line was out door. By the time I voted and left, the line was 75 yards out the door. I live in an extremely conservative district and several people in the line with me were heading to a Bible study after they voted. All were Republicans. So much for demoralized conservative voters.
Awesome report. I plan to vote later this afternoon in the hotly contested PA-8th district and will report on tunrout. Mostly Fitzpatrick signs where I live, and Bush carried my precinct in 2004, so I am hpoing for strong turnout. Am hearing reports of huge turnouts in Amish country.
I'm in MO--Rush just said that the voting there is 70%--I thought it was Prop 2 cloning but the unhappy looking woman in front of me said it was because of the war.
:)
My wife and I voted in Piperton , TN (25 mi. e. of Memphis) for our republican representative Marsha Blackburn and for Bob Corker. About 30 people at the polls early with a steady stream coming and going. Saw a few Ford signs on the way to the poll in a traditionally black rural area of Piperton. Turnout should be good in our area.
is the marriage amendment going to pass in CO?
My wife voted in suburban Chicago today for the Roskam-Duckworth race. My wife teaches piano to children with Down syndrome and autism and she said that people in the disabled community can't stand Tammy Duckworth. She said they don't talk about it much because they don't want to come off as being mean people but she said they'd show their displeasure at the polls. We live in a neighborhood with a number of Roskam supporters and she said she ran into a number of them at the polls this morning.
Duckworth will probably win this one but I think sometimes Republicans just keep their mouths shut because they don't feel like getting slammed by the stupid libs. They aren't afraid to go vote, however.
After I drop my Son off at school here in Denver, I'm gonna swing by some voting areas around home and see if there's any lines.
Someday the news media may get through it's head that Christens have faith in and listen to a much higher power than some lowlife reporter.
As I was walking to my polling place this morning, I was praying for the same thing. It would really show how biased the MSM was and expose them for what they are! We'll see...
Wonderful graphic. Absolutely nails the MSM idiots. Voting in Texas was packed and lined up as late as 9:30 this morning. Even though Texas is a red state, people seemed really motivated to vote. The MSM may be their own worse enemies. Nothing would be more funny than seeing the cheerleaders have nothing to cheer for tomorrow morning.
One final note, the Dems have already submitted a law suit against electronic voting in my county.
Very cool!
You got it, I said if she felt so demoralized that she was doing the right thing not to vote. (Her husband is a good union man and always votes straight D)
GO BRONCOS!!!

Grrrrr. Hard to lose when you get 6 turnovers. If I where Cowher, I'd make EVERYONE carry a football this week. In the shower, in bed, to the bathroom - nobody is to let go of their football until there are no more turnovers.
That's right. Don't know why, but if I get into a political discussion with more than one lib at a time, I always come out looking like the bad guy. Even when they begin the discussion. So I keep my mouth shut and pull the lever for Republcians. For the last eight years, I've seen Republican wins and libs arguing among themselves.
Me too! Where 2-3 are joined in His name...
If it were 'that' easy to discourage conservative Christians....
we wouldn't BE conservative Christians.
Never, ever listen to what the mainscream leftist media 'bleats'.
Holy mother.
I just came back from our heavily conservative polling place. For the first time in many years, I had to wait to vote.
Broken glass doesn't describe the mood. Conservatives are out to throw the democrats into oblivion.
I dislike the Republican candidate, Doug Lamborn, but I dislike Nancy Pelosi even more. The local R's are being incredibly stupid on this one -- letting hard feelings over the primary election possibly affect the entire country. I'm pretty disgusted.
