Breaking: (Possible) Philly Fraud (Not Confirmed Yet)
Redstate ^

Posted on 11/07/2006 6:55:08 AM PST by Weight of Glory

In precincts 7, 19, 51 in Philly, PA, the crowds are going wild. Inside several voting locations, individuals have poured white out onto the polling books and the poll workers are allowing voters to go into the polls and vote without first registering. Several individuals are on hand demanding that voters vote straight Democrat.

RNC lawyers have headed to the scene of the incidents, which are occurring in mostly hispanic precinct locations. The District Attorney has also been contacted.

Typical. I think Philly has to be one of the most politically corrupt cities in the country...probably only behind Chicago and maybe Detroit. They have these union goons hanging around the polling places, and the election workers are all in the back pocket of the Democratic party. Christ himself could run for mayor here, and he'd still lose overwhelmingly. And that's even before you count the dead vote.

If so, then this thread should be pulled.

The article does say Ward not precinct

It does now, but they had to change it (see the version at the top of the thread).

What it doesn't state is what polling place in the Ward where it's happening.

See, that's the real key, what makes me so sure this is a fake story.  If a person really took three calls from three separate people you'd figure they'd realize that you'd need two identifiers (ward and district) to determine a location.  Not just bad terminology, but a lack of necessary identification.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there's fraud going on.  I documented this the last two even year elections here.  All sorts of stuff from following voters into the booth to running off poll workers with threats of guns to people showing up only to discover someone already voted for them.

This just ain't it.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.

At minimum, you should ask the Mods to add "unsubstantiated" to thread title. FReeper on the scene reports nothing happening.

I'm tempted as well. If you do, be careful...the Dem/Union goons don't like people with cameras much.

Ah. I'm going to vote in about an hour and plan on doing the same thing, so I'll keep an eye on what the screen says in response. Should be interesting. :)

That is fine with me. This is my first thread, so i didn't know you could tag it with something that says "unsubstatiated." It has been my intent the whole morning to get people on the gound to determine that very fact, namely whether this is or is not true.

Being always in the extreme, I advocate for making someone convicted of election fraud being ineligible to participate in elections or campaigns in any way shape or form for a period determined by severity of violation.

You're not as extreme as me, then. Government by the consent of the people is dependant on fraud free elections, and messing with the electoral process ought to be an act of treason.

Such perpetrators should eligible for the firing squad if convicted.

I'm generally against the death penalty except in certain special circumstances, and this is one of those circumstances. Election fraud isn't one of those kinds of crimes you committ but didn't really mean to like speeding, or DUI. This is a premeditated plan to screw around with one of the foundational institutions of our Republic.

I'm a registered Republican. In the 2004 presidential election, I went to the same polling place, in NJ, to which I had gone for previous 25 years. The young gal, who seemed to "take charge" told me I was at the wrong place...that my name wasn't in her book.

Puzzled, I drove 3 miles to the county building. They, in turn, said I was correct, and sent me back to tell her that I must now vote by provisional ballot.

This young gal secluded me behind a cardboard privacy screen, and I proceeded to vote Republican. I folded the ballot. On the outside of it, was written, "If this is a primary election, you must check Republican or Democrat." Naturally, I left it blank. She saw it, and told me that I must show that I'm voting either Republican or Democrat. I explained to her that this was a "general election." She insisted it was a "primary" election!

We went round and round for several minutes. She got so angry and told me she wouldn't accept my vote if I didn't check a box. I threw up my hands, checked the box next to "Republican," and left.

Upon returning home, I called an election official who was livid. She said, "You know, we pay these people, we spend many hours training them, and this is what we get!"

I said, "Well, I'm assuming my vote won't count."

She replied, "Unfortunately, you're right."

This polling place should have been shut down immediately after this attack. The Iraqis handled themselves much better than the voters in Philadelphia.

We should start showing up at the polls with our tumbs dipped in purple ink....
