Iraq urges calm ahead of Saddam verdict
By CHRISTOPHER BODEEN, Associated Press Writer 38 minutes ago
SNIP
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's prime minister on Saturday urged his countrymen to accept the impending verdict against Saddam Hussein without violence, then in the next breath declared the former dictator must get "what he deserves" with the decision that could send him to the gallows.

Can I offer you some fresh baked oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies and a nice tall glass of milk? ;) The cookies sound delicous. I only have chocolate chip without the oatmeal. I'll have to stick with the sweet tea even though I'd love a cold glass of milk. Ever since my tummy surgery in June, I have a problem with milk. Hopefully that will go away soon.
BOOM!
First one of the day.
It was too far off to be near the courthouse, though.

I think I am saving up all my cooking for Thanksgiving. Doing a turkey and a prime rib for the family, plus doing the stuffing from scratch and probably 2 pies.

I can't think of a quick pastry, but you could put the apples in the microwave with just a teaspoon of butter and cinnamon, and then throw some brown sugar on top. Zap it until it's warm.

Remember, remember, the 5th of November. Or the Alamo. Or the 11th of September.

To h*ll with the Muslims, it might teach them a lesson and put them on notice that we've all had a gut full of them.

no verdict yet ... no real coverage right now. Newswatch on FNC continues, CNN continues with "Week in Iraq", "Mistakes and Miscalculations". On C-SPAN2 Jim McGreevy reading his book, explaining his divine inspiration, with an adoring Andrew Sullivan alongside (only thing they differ on is whether Hillary is the real deal). FOX MAD-TV has "Condi saves Harlem" and "Hi, I'm John Kerry, at Madame Wu's standup comedy store in Vietnam, where I really killed along with my fellow uneducated soldiers ..."

I have about a cup of cooked apples left and want to wrap it in some sort of pastry, just for myself while I'm waiting for the verdict. Any ideas? Make some cinnamon toast and top it off with the cooked apples. Sounds yummy to me!

Have you tried soy milk? I never thought I'd see the day that I'd try something like that, but I really liked it. My son and daughter-in-love got me started on it. It's suppose to help with cholesterol...but I'm not sure if your tummy could take it.
