UPDATE: Reader David Ward writes:
Thank you for your great work and especially the coverage of the picture of the soldiers mocking "Jon Carry."
My daughter is on the far right in the picture. We spoke to her last night and again this morning. They are quite astounded at the coverage. They were furious at Kerry's remarks and wanted to do something. I guess they did.
Yours truly,
David Ward
That would be good.
Also, have this printed on sweat shirts and tee shirts to wear around every rat's appearance between today and the election Nov 2008.
That's a great idea! This is one of the funniest things I have seen happen.
If there is a way to let this father know, please pass along my thanks to him and his daughter for their part in holding Kerry accountable for his stupidity. I haven't heard from my son in nearly three weeks now, and I pray he is still okay. I know that Kerry's words will/have angered him greatly, and he would like nothing more than to see this moron taken to task for this.
Thank you for your son's service sir. It is people like him who make it possible for morons like Senator Kerry to make complete a-holes out of themselves. I hope and pray for your son and his comrades to come home safely to their families.
I thank you for your kind comments and prayers for my son. I'm angered that someone like this, and the other liberal lunatics, can benefit off the blood, sweat, and sacrifice of so many brave soldiers. They have no shame.
One benefit for National Guard and Reserve soldiers is that any UCMJ proceedings have to occur before they are released from active duty- usually, it's too much trouble for the Army unless it is a serious offense. Case in point is the Abu Ghraib persecutions that involved Reserve soldiers, who were administered Courts Martial for their offenses and sent to Leavenworth.
Ultimately, it is up to their Commander to administer punishment and could simply "counsel" them on a DA 4856-R and call the case "closed". That is what I would do, anyway, just to make sure they can't be charged later for the same offense.
Luckily, our military still work for the President and not individual representatives.
Mr. Ward, this nation is blessed to have people like your daughter in its service.
We need somebody with money to run against these guys in Mass first before we have somebody to campaign FOR.
My keyboard has a plastic cover precisely for posts like this.
However, I still haven't solved the "soda pop through the nose" problem... ;-)
Looks like the 2008 Kerry campaign is in full swing. Polls show Kerry favored 81% to 10% (with 9% undecided) against an unnamed Republican opponent in the 2008 presidential race. Poll results are based on a random sampling of households inside the Berkeley, California Sunni Triangle.
Don't p*ss off the one with the chain gun...
:)
Mr. David Ward, His daughter, the family- Deserve nothing short of THANKS and PRAYERS...I wish we could shoot a message to David's daughter and let her know how THRILLED we were to see that thing. I have been searching all day for the address to them, and already wrote to the Minn. Natl. Guard..So proud of the troops, so Thankful to them too, and Sooo tired of Kerry Ketchup..

My father flunked out his first year at Princeton but went to another college.
All four years at the new college he was in the ROTC. He graduated in 68...volunteered for the Marine Corps...got his pilot's license and ended up driving F-4 Phantoms in Vietnam....mostly close air support.
He, and some others in his squadron, also ran an orphanige.
After Vietnam he got a masters in Psychology and ended up working as a counselor for many years at Focus on the Family.
Now he does missionary work in Kenya.
His college: Berkeley. His bachelors: Sociology.
That photo should get the Pulitzer this year. But of course it won't.
Your father has quite a story. Can you tell more, please?
That actually happened a few years ago with an FR photoshop of Kerry and Fonda together on a stage. The mistake was in not tagging the photo with the signature of the artist.
The MSM used that photo to try to discredit all stories about Kerry's anti-war behavior.

"His college: Berkeley. His bachelors: Sociology."
Moral: Not all sociologists from Berkeley are lost liberal idiots.
Mega Kudos to your Pop for a life well spent.
