Doug, are you sure that KFI isn't parsing? I heard the same thing on another station, and they claimed that his words apologizing for messing up the joke was an apology to the troops.

I was wondering the same thing. Imus' show ended 6 HOURS ago (9AM ET). If Kerry apologized on Imus, surely this would have been reported long before 2PM ET?
