A SCHOOLGIRL was quizzed by Secret Service agents after posting anti-George W. Bush comments on a popular Internet chat room, a US newspaper has reported.
Julia Wilson, described as a freckle-nosed 14-year-old who wears braces and has a love heart on her school backpack, was yanked out of a biology class at her school in Sacramento, California to answer agents' questions.
The Sacramento Bee newspaper reported that she posted a cartoon photo collage of a knife stabbing President George W. Bush's hand beneath the words "Kill Bush" on MySpace, which is hugely popular amongst teens.
It was one of several images the teenager had used to decorate an anti-Bush page on the website and prompted a visit to McClatchy High School by agents from the Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security.
"I told them I just really don't agree with Bush's politics," the schoolgirl told the newspaper.

Thank you.
Well one never knows how your kid will turn out,but as a parent you have to try to instill good morals and values from an early age.
So far I think we have done right by our kids and they know right from wrong.I hope.:)
Your right to do it I just think it's sad.
Even if Ms. Hillary is 'lected President, those people will stay on the "threat list".
After a series of assassination attempts stretching back over a century and a half the Secret Service (and the politicians) are totally humorless about these threats.
Squeaky Fromm springs to mind in this case ~
I hope you are joking.

You took the words right outta my mouth.
This would have been best for the child, as it would give her the opportunity to apply some good old fashioned horse sense to her prejudiced views.
However, this falls under the classification of "attempting to reason with a liberal", which is not possible, and the SS is charged with protecting the president, not rendering libwhacks logical.
I agree.
Well to many parents think it is okay to let the kids have a computer in their bedroom and there in lies the problem.
We have our computers in the living room and the kids never use it unsupervised, since my husband and I work different shifts.
Here is the little wanna be assassin.

The Mother looks like a Democrat.
When does Playboy/Penthouse make a pitch?
During my 20 years of military service one of the more boring briefings that I had to sit through annually was Protection of the President. This was a annual ground training event that everyone had to go through. Today, I am not sure if it was a DOD directive or a Federal Law that generated this annual training event.
But, if I had to put money on the table I would bet it is a Federal Law.
Bottom line, it is against the law, IMHO, to threaten the life of the President. All such threats are to be reported immediately and investigated. It is the option of the investigating authority as to how to conduct the investigation. In todays environment and the national and international exposure that internet sites get I am not surprised. I do, however, wonder how much longer before one of the more radical posters on DU gets a greeting: Good Morning, Sir. We would like to talk to you about
there are lots of these little brats around.
A fair number of them in D.C.!!!!
About 60% joking. Let one of our cities get hit with Nuclear, Biologocal, or Chemical attacks... and get back to me.
LLS
Guessing that mom and dad told her who to hate - but not why.
charming. Do they know just how horrible they sound? If you accuse them of being bigoted, I expect they would roundly deny it, but that is exactly what they are - and they are teaching their children to be the same.
I am sure they are proud contributors to DU -
you cannot go online or on the phone, and call for the assasination of the president of the U.S., and NOT expect SS to investigate it.
THERE IS A LIMIT TO FREE SPEECH. AND THIS LITTLE 14 YR OLD LADY HAS CROSSED THAT LINE.
If she doesn't know that, she is dumber than a door knob. I've known this fact for over 40 years... putting me back in early grammar school.
