A SCHOOLGIRL was quizzed by Secret Service agents after posting anti-George W. Bush comments on a popular Internet chat room, a US newspaper has reported.
Julia Wilson, described as a freckle-nosed 14-year-old who wears braces and has a love heart on her school backpack, was yanked out of a biology class at her school in Sacramento, California to answer agents' questions.
The Sacramento Bee newspaper reported that she posted a cartoon photo collage of a knife stabbing President George W. Bush's hand beneath the words "Kill Bush" on MySpace, which is hugely popular amongst teens.
It was one of several images the teenager had used to decorate an anti-Bush page on the website – and prompted a visit to McClatchy High School by agents from the Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security.
"I told them I just really don't agree with Bush's politics," the schoolgirl told the newspaper.

Wilson's father, Jim Moose, said security services had over-reacted. "I don't condone what she did, but it seems a little over the top to me," he said
I still can't get over the comment of the father.She is a minor and he is her parent and he should have used his parental authority.
My 13 year old never uses the computer without parental supervision and if she posts something that I find offensive (even if it is just a tiny bit offensive) I have her remove it and we have a conversation about it.
Having said that she would never even think about posting something remotely threatening about the President of the United States no matter how much she disagrees with him.
My daughter likes politics and would discuss her issues with peers rather then throwing out threats to her President.
I always thought that threatening the life of the President was against the law. She should get into legal trouble regardless if the threat was "credible"

That is what I told. I said that I was surprised the SS didn't take him in for saying what he said. He first started off saying that he hated people that liked Bush. That was the first straw and then it got worse. After he said the first thing, I went and told my boss because I didn't feel safe working with somebody that says that he hates me. I work with heavy equipment and if you can't depend on an individual that you are working with then there is no use in working with that person.

It's a perfect use of Federal authority. Physically threatening the President or calling for his harm is a Federal crime. "Kill Bush" is about as clear a call to harm as one can say. How would the Authorities know the kid was only 14 unless they investigated?
No, as my boss put it, he likes to split the ticket. I told my boss, that it doesn't matter how you vote; I don't care how you vote; what Ed said, my coworker said, is dangerous.
She sounds like a true American and a great kid!

We needs to find a picture of this 14 year old, post it and write something as equally threatening, and as a defense say we disagree with her views.

You can tell this kid comes from a commie household!No doubt a home full of traitors and America haters.The secret service needs to pay mom and dad a visit and may also find more of the same in the home.
What a sad little girl to be so involved with politics at 14 years old. Kids are suppose to be having sleepovers talking about boys shopping at the mall going to the movies. Argh what have they done to her.
Hate to tell you this, but I first joined a political party when I was 13! (They bent the rules to shut me up!)
Excellent civics lesson for this little snot. And, I'm glad to hear that the Secret Service did their jobs, and interviewed this kid. I hope that they managed to impress on her just how wrong it is to do what she did.
I hope that the Secret Service had a few words of payer with the folks who run MySpace too...
If your child downloaded music you'd be held responsible and have to pay huge fines to the music industry. Too bad parents can't be held responsible when their kids threaten others online, I bet more parents wold do as you do then.

Notice how she is repeatedly referred to as a "schoolgirl". Usually it's "student" or "teenager" etc.
